Whoopi Goldberg is FURIOUS and has vowed to take LEGAL ACTION against those exploiting her name to promote HARMFUL PRODUCTS: “Don’t think I’ll let this slide…”

Whoopi Goldberg is setting the record straight after her image was used in a fake AI-generated advertisement promoting a weight-loss drug. 

In an episode of *The View* on February 5, the 69-year-old EGOT winner made it clear 

that she had no involvement in the ad, warning her audience to steer clear of it.

Goldberg took to the airwaves to address the issue directly, sharing her frustration with the deceptive ad. “I’m giving everybody a heads up. 

There’s a phony weight loss ad floating around online on Instagram that has me, AI-mouthed, saying all kinds of stuff,” Goldberg explained. 

“You know I don’t sell anything unless I say, ‘Hey, it’s me Whoopi.’ That’s how you know it’s me.”

The fake ad, which appeared to feature Goldberg endorsing a weight-loss drug, was created using artificial intelligence. The advertisement manipulated footage from an old interview Goldberg did on *CBS Sunday Morning*, making it appear as though she was promoting a product she had no association with. Goldberg wanted to ensure her fans knew the truth, saying emphatically, “They took something from CBS Sunday Morning and melded it and they have me selling bad weight-loss drugs.”

In no uncertain terms, Goldberg urged her fans to ignore the misleading advertisement. “Do not indulge in this. Do not look at this, just get rid of it. Because I don’t know what it is, I had nothing to do with it. And I don’t want y’all thinking this is coming from me,” she said. Goldberg stressed that she is always transparent when it comes to what she promotes, stating, “I told you what I did! I was upfront. I don’t have any reason to go sell some other stuff. I told you, I took my Mounjaro. I used Mounjaro, okay? That is what I did.”

For context, Mounjaro is a prescription medication known by its brand name, tirzepatide. The injectable drug is designed to help with weight loss by reducing appetite and improving the body’s ability to break down sugar and fat. Goldberg has been open about her use of Mounjaro, sharing that she began taking it after noticing she had gained weight and reached 300 lbs. during the filming of the movie *Till*. “One of the things that’s helped me drop the weight was the Mounjaro. That’s what I used,” Goldberg shared in previous interviews, revealing that she was shocked when she saw her reflection and thought, “Oh! That’s a lot of me!”

Goldberg also took the opportunity to clarify her position on the fake ad, explaining how artificial intelligence can be dangerous in situations like this. “This stuff? I don’t know who these people are. That’s the problem with AI. You don’t know who made it, but I’m telling you, it’s a lot of BS. Do not fall for it,” she said. She encouraged her viewers to speak up if they encountered the ad, adding, “And if you hear somebody say, ‘Oh Whoopi said,’ you can say to them, ‘No, she just told me! That is not correct.’”

AI-generated content is becoming more prevalent, with technology enabling the creation of hyper-realistic videos and ads that often feature celebrities’ likenesses without their consent. Goldberg’s warning highlights the potential dangers of this technology and how it can be used to spread false information for financial gain.

Goldberg’s open and honest approach to discussing her weight loss journey and the tools she has used, like Mounjaro, stands in stark contrast to the fake advertisement, which preys on people’s desire for quick fixes. Her message is clear: always be cautious of misleading ads, especially when they appear too good to be true.

The situation serves as a reminder of the importance of verification and transparency, especially when it comes to health and wellness products. Fans and followers of public figures like Goldberg should be aware that, unless explicitly stated by the celebrity themselves, any product endorsement or promotional material featuring their image could be fabricated or manipulated by AI technology.
