WHAT? Jennifer Lopez is said to be using her close friend Stevie Mackey to cover up her ‘new relationship’ while not yet fully divorced from Ben Affleck, as fans discovered this shocking detail during a casual bike ride in the Hamptons

Jennifer Lopez enjoyed a ride on her LINUS bike with pal Stevie Mackey over the weekend.

In the photo posted by her vocal coach, 42, on Saturday, the 54-year-old singer was seen relaxing while on a trip to the Hamptons for Fourth of July weekend.

Winding down with a relaxing excursion with her close pal, she shrugged off divorce rumors surrounding her marriage with Ben Affleck, 51.

Who she hadn’t been publicly seen with for over a month and was back in Los Angeles for the holiday.

Despite the tenacious rumors, the star her her wedding ring on in the snap.

The Atlas actress wore a casual-chic outfit as she posed on matching, cream-colored bicycles alongside her close friend front of a lush mansion.

In the caption, the vocal coach, who is known for working on The Voice in addition to Lopez, added a bicycle as well as sunflower and lavender emojis, writing: ‘Good times, good friends, good wheels.’

The photo showed Lopez giving a sultry smolder to the camera and her hands at her sides, which happened to display the massive diamond on her ring finger.

The Let’s Get Loud hitmaker wore a casual, monochromatic look but still looked show-stopping.

She teamed a black sweatshirt with a pair of wide-leg, white and cropped jeans.

She sported chunky white sneakers to complete her black-and-white ensemble.

For their excursion, the brunette beauty threw up her long hair into a slicked back ponytail and accessorized with slim hoop earrings.

She went for a bronzy, sun-kissed makeup look to highlight her beauty.

Mackey has been longtime friends with Lopez ever since they met at the 2014 American Music Awards, which he attended with Selena Gomez.

He worked with NBC’s The Voice for over 10 seasons and toured the world coaching Lopez for her 2019 It’s My Party summer tour.

He has also coached many other notable names in Hollywood including Maroon 5, Fergie, Lenny Kravitz and more.

She appeared to be visiting the Hamptons with Mackey, her manager Benny Medina and none of her family members.

While she was in the East, Affleck was back in Los Angeles.

And even though he was seen wearing his wedding ring, divorce rumors are still ongoing as it was recently reported their premature marriage has been ‘over for months.’

Sources claim the couple are ‘on the edge of divorce,’ according to Page Six.

An insider told the outlet that Lopez and her husband have ‘been apart since March.

In spite of their marital woes, the source noted that Affleck is ‘very protective of Jennifer.’

Recently, it was also revealed that the pair have started selling off the artwork inside of their $60 marital home in Bel Air as they listed the mansion for sale last month.

Amid the separation rumors, People also reported that Affleck picked up the last of his remaining items from the house when Lopez was vacationing in Italy last month.

It was previously reported that while Lopez continues to reside in their Bel Air mansion, Affleck moved out and has been staying at a $100k-per-month rental home, which is closely located to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house.

Affleck and Garner were previously married from 2005 to 2018 and share three children: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Lopez is the mother of 16-year-old twins Emme and Max — both of whom she shares with her third husband, singer-songwriter Marc Anthony.

Understanding Deductibles in Insurance

What is a Deductible?

A deductible is the amount of money a policyholder must pay out-of-pocket before an insurance company begins to cover the remaining costs. Deductibles are a fundamental component of most insurance policies, including health, auto, home, and business insurance.

How Do Deductibles Work?

When you file a claim, you are responsible for paying the deductible amount. Only after this amount is paid will the insurance company pay for the covered expenses exceeding the deductible. For example, if you have a $1,000 deductible on your car insurance and incur $3,000 in damages from an accident, you would pay the first $1,000, and the insurance company would cover the remaining $2,000.

Types of Deductibles

  1. Fixed Dollar Deductible: This is a specific amount you must pay each time you file a claim. It’s common in health and auto insurance policies.
  2. Percentage Deductible: In some cases, particularly with homeowners insurance, the deductible might be a percentage of the insured value. For instance, if your home is insured for $200,000 and you have a 2% deductible, your out-of-pocket cost would be $4,000 before insurance covers the rest.
  3. Per-Claim vs. Annual Deductible:
    • Per-Claim Deductible: You pay the deductible every time you file a claim.
    • Annual Deductible: Common in health insurance, this deductible resets each year. You pay out-of-pocket until your total expenses reach the deductible amount for the year.

Why Do Deductibles Exist?

  1. Cost Control: Deductibles help keep insurance premiums more affordable. Higher deductibles typically result in lower premiums because the policyholder assumes more initial risk.
  2. Reduced Claims Frequency: Deductibles discourage policyholders from filing small or frivolous claims, reducing the number of claims an insurer must process and pay out.
  3. Shared Responsibility: Deductibles ensure that policyholders share in the financial responsibility of their care or damages, promoting cautious behavior and maintenance of insured assets.

Choosing the Right Deductible

When selecting an insurance policy, choosing the right deductible is crucial. Here are some considerations:

  1. Financial Ability: Assess your ability to pay the deductible in case of a claim. A higher deductible can lower your premium but may be challenging to pay if an incident occurs.
  2. Risk Tolerance: Determine how much risk you are comfortable assuming. If you prefer lower out-of-pocket costs during an emergency, a lower deductible might be preferable, albeit with a higher premium.
  3. Frequency of Claims: Consider how often you might need to file a claim. If you anticipate frequent claims, a lower deductible might be more cost-effective over time.

Impact on Premiums

The relationship between deductibles and premiums is inverse. Generally, the higher the deductible, the lower the premium, and vice versa. This trade-off allows policyholders to customize their insurance based on their financial situation and risk appetite.

Conclusion

Deductibles are a key feature of insurance policies that influence both the cost of premiums and the financial burden on policyholders when filing claims. Understanding how deductibles work and carefully selecting an appropriate deductible can help balance cost savings with financial protection, ensuring optimal insurance coverage tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
