Twiggy had a romantic night with her elderly husband Leigh Lawson, drawing fans’ attention, notably for their “intimate” actions in front of the audience

Twiggy looked sensational in as she cosied up to her husband Leigh Lawson at the Hello, Dolly!  press night held at the London Palladium on Thursday night.

The model, 74 – real name Dame Lesley Lawson – turned heads in a hot pink suit which she wore with an orange top underneath.

She completed her look with matching suede orange shoes and wore dark shades to shield her eyes from the evening sun.

Twiggy wore her blonde tresses in a sleek bob and opted for a natural makeup look to show off her ageless features.

Beside her actor and writer Leigh, 78, – who she’s been married to for 36 years -looked smart in a blue suit and wore a patterned thin scarf to add some intrigue to the look.

They looked as loved-up as ever as they put their arms around one another at the press night.

During an interview last year, Twiggy credited ‘luck’ as the secret to her long marriage to her husband Leigh.

Twiggy married the actor in 1988, following the death of her first husband Michael Witney five years earlier.

Twiggy told Good Housekeeping’s September issue due to their past experiences with love, she and Leigh have always been ‘a little gentler’ with their romance.

She said: ‘[Leigh and I] have been together for 38 years, which is frightening! I suppose luck has a lot to do with it.

‘You never know when you meet somebody how it’s all going to turn out or what life is going to throw at you.

‘We’ve both been through things that didn’t work out for various reasons and when you’ve had that experience, you’re a little gentler when you meet someone else.’

Twiggy is considered one of the most iconic supermodels in history, and first rose to prominence in the 1960s with her piercing blue eyes and beautiful bone structure.

Elsewhere at the Hello, Dolly! press night Bridgerton star Bessie Carter looked chic in a pink peplum shirt and wore chunky black trainers.

The actress joined her father Jim Carter and fellow actor Jim Broadbent on the red carpet.

Jim and Bessie Carter looked happier than ever as they arrived to support wife and mother Imelda Staunton in the show.

Playing at The London Palladium for a limited summer season, this brand-new production reunites Imelda with Director Dominic Cooke following the critically acclaimed Follies at the National Theatre.

Joining Imelda are Andy Nyman, Jenna Russell, Tyrone Huntley and Harry Hepple.
