Kerry Katona has weighed in on the controversy surrounding her pal Katie Price.

The former face of Iceland has been friends with the ex-glamour model for years. She’s now opened up about the mum-of-five’s recent arrest, as well as her ongoing bankruptcy drama. 

Katie recently dodged a court appearance for another round of surgery in Turkey.

She was arrested at Heathrow Airport and was recently forced out of her Mucky Mansion, now Kerry says she doesn’t know how Katie “does it”. 

They came together for a star-studded New Year’s party, and now they’re reuniting for work this Christmas.

Opening up about their relationship, Kerry told OK!: “I know what a great headspace she’s in and I want people to see how well she’s doing. 

She’s been through a lot but I’m really proud of where she’s at right now – I don’t know how she does it.”

They are set to play the ugly stepsisters in a Cinderella pantomime this year. 

“I’m seeing Katie soon for a press day for our Christmas panto together with AB Productions and I can’t wait. It will be good to have a proper catch-up. I can’t wait to work with her, too.

“Katie and I stay in touch over the phone but we haven’t seen each other since New Year so it’s exciting,” she told the magazine. It comes after Katie wowed fans with the outcome of her latest cosmetic touch-up, looking fresh-faced ahead of her looming court appearance.

The 46 year old had previously taken to social media to reveal she underwent “facial correction” surgery in Turkey. This was after rumours earlier this month suggested she’d be opting for a facelift. Recently, Katie was snapped at Stush Academy in Oldham, Greater Manchester, where she treated herself to a beauty session. Images captured her and her partner JJ Slater, aged 31, stepping out post-makeover.

Snapped by The Sun on Monday, Katie’s transformation was centre stage. She was dressed in an off-white crop top paired with chic cream trousers ready for her trip to the salon. Her array of tattoos – spanning her stomach and arms – was visible as cameras caught her exiting the premises. She chose simple white sneakers and toted a trendy wicker handbag.

Alongside her was JJ Slater known from last year’s Married at First Sight UK as they appeared to pack a car together by a striking pink motor bearing ‘Pricey’ across the back. Katie has been spotted again as she continues her recovery from surgery in Turkey. Upon her return to the UK earlier this month, she was arrested.

After being arrested at Heathrow Airport, she was released on bail and later attended a hearing at a specialist bankruptcy court via video link. A judge warned her that this was a “serious matter” and set another court date for August 27. He said: “You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays.” As previously reported, Katie confirmed that she understood she must attend and added: “I will move my diary for it.” The judge also cancelled the arrest warrant that had been issued against her on July 30 by a different judge.
