Tom Cruise appeared in London with a bright smile. However, he still revealed a “strange” injury on his right hand. He seems intentional about showing it to attract attention (video)

Tom Cruise was all smiles as he arrived in London this week, while showing off a painful-looking injury.

The 62-year-old is currently filming for the upcoming Mission: Impossible sequel in the UK, alongside Simon Pegg and Hayley Atwell.

Little else is known about the blockbuster, which will serve as a follow-up to 2023’s Dead Reckoning – Part One.

The Hollywood icon – who was recently seen enjoying a family day out with his son – appeared to be in good spirits as he was pictured at a helipad in Battersea on Thursday, looking seriously suave.

He donned a long-sleeved black jumper and dark blue jeans for the outing, finishing the look off in aviator-style sunglasses.

At one point, he flashed a thumbs up to photographers from the front seat of the chopper, despite sporting injuries on his right hand.

A close-up photo revealed a pink graze around his knuckle – but it is currently unclear how he sustained the injury.

Tom is known for going above and beyond on films, and has worked tirelessly over the last few years on both Top: Gun Maverick and last year’s Mission: Impossible instalment.

He’s shown absolutely no signs of slowing down, and is set to undertake a daring underwater stunt for the sequel.

Fans will know that similar stunts are no match for Mr Ethan Hunt, but director Christopher McQuarrie shared his hopes that the sequence will blow those out of the water – literally.

‘Tom and I are constantly re-evaluating our own work and asking ourselves how we could have done it better,’ he previously told Collider. ‘We’ve done underwater in Edge of Tomorrow, and we worked underwater in Rogue Nation, and we left very dissatisfied with those sequences.

‘And we analyze why we were dissatisfied. What were all the factors working against us? The biggest being, not having real knowledge in that area.

‘Everything you’re looking at in Dead Reckoning is the application of knowledge from previous sequences.’

However, the filmmaker also insisted that they both spend a huge amount of time preparing for each aspect of their projects thoroughly.

‘Tom and I never obsess about executing the plan. We always have a direction, we always have a place we’re going,’ he added. ‘You couldn’t be that cavalier without somebody getting seriously physically hurt. These things are planned within an inch of their life.

‘Along the way, we see a shiny object and go for it.’

Tom Cruise’s dedication to his craft is truly remarkable, as he continues to push the boundaries with each new project he takes on. His commitment to excellence is evident in the way he approaches his work, always striving to outdo himself and deliver the best possible performance. The upcoming Mission: Impossible sequel promises to be another thrilling installment in the blockbuster franchise, with Tom once again stepping into the role of Ethan Hunt. Despite the challenges and risks involved in such high-octane action sequences, Tom remains undaunted and is willing to put in the hard work to ensure the success of the film.Director Christopher McQuarrie’s collaboration with Tom has proven to be a winning formula, with the two of them constantly seeking to improve and innovate with each new project. Their dedication to perfecting every aspect of their work, whether it be a daring underwater stunt or a complex action sequence, is truly commendable. As fans eagerly await the release of the next Mission: Impossible film, it’s clear that Tom Cruise shows no signs of slowing down. His passion for filmmaking and commitment to his craft continue to drive him to new heights of success. Stay tuned for more updates on Tom Cruise and all the latest news from the world of Hollywood.
