This Morning host Alison Hammond was left panicking over a ‘love note’ found in her handbag on Tuesday’s show.
During the latest episode, the show took an unexpected turn when guest Julian Clary decided to go through 49-year-old Alison’s handbag live on air. The presenter was left giggling as Julian, 65, pulled out everything from a birthday card with Alison’s face on it, her night-time brace, a razor and socks.
However, there was one potential item that left Alison panicked as she quickly halted the segment. As Julian pulled out a piece of paper, Alison quickly stopped the comedian as she grabbed the item and panicked: “What’s that? No don’t read that! It might be a love note, no, no, no…”
After checking the piece of paper, Alison said in relief: “Oh thank God, there’s nothing on it!” to which co-star Dermot O’Leary then grabbed the piece of paper to inspect it while Julian quipped: “Tell me if I’ve gone too far!”

It comes as Alison’s new relationship is still in the honeymoon stage it appears, with the TV star struggling to keep her hands off her new beau in public. The This Morning presenter took one fan by surprise on Friday as she cosied up to her boyfriend David Putman, 26, outside a McDonalds in Slough.
Fresh from presenting the ITV’s programmes final instalment of the week, Alison was wearing the same black and white print dress she had on to host This Morning on Friday morning as she embraced her lover against a car parked up by the fast-food restaurant.
“They looked really happy and loved-up – he had a big bunch of flowers for her and she couldn’t stop smiling,” the onlooker who spotted Alison and David’s cute embrace on Windsor road said.
“They couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they walked across the road from McDonalds towards the car,” the fan continued. “Alison is such a huge star but she seemed oblivious to anyone watching her – they were leaning on the car and kissing.”
It was revealed last week that former Big Brother contestant Alison refuses to be dragged down by criticism of her romance with David primarily because of their substantial 23-year age difference. And judging by the display they put on for passers-by on Friday, David feels the same.

“It was really sweet. If there’s been any backlash to their relationship they didn’t show it on Friday. They looked like newlyweds and every inch a happy couple. It was really nice to see Alison looking so happy and loved,” the onlooked added when discussing Alison and David’s PDA.
The Great British Bake Off host and David began dating last year, but due to anticipation of inevitable public scrutiny, Alison was initially hesitant about going public with their budding romance. However, months on, Alison is less bothered about the haters and their comments.
