This Morning host Alison Hammond was forced to apologise as she almost swore live on-air on the ITV show.
The daytime programme was in full chaos mode on Friday (July 19) as the presenters switched to an outside set-up to make the most of London’s sweltering temperatures. Dermot O’Leary ended up walking all the way off set during a chat about toilet breaks – leaving Alison by herself to host the show.
Thankfully the host was only kidding and did return – but not without pausing the show several times for various shake-ups. And that was all before the show almost aired an accidental expletive.
Fans were loving Alison as usual, however, with one fan gushing on X: “Alison looks fab! #ThisMorning.” Another said of her relationship with Dermot: “Aww the ending when Dermot reached out his hand to Alison aww…”
But one divided fan echoed: “I do love Alison Hammond but can you actually finish a sentence and make a point before laughing out loud and also please stop using internet lingo babes.”
The show was left in chaos
It comes after roving reporter Isla Traquair made a “gross” offer live on-air to wee in the sea to test out a new Spanish law. Discussing Spanish cops planning to fine people who attempt to reserve sunbeds on beaches before 9:30am, the conversation turned to plans to fine holidaymakers who wee in the sea off the Costa Del Sol.

Now Isla has questioned just how these laws will be enforced – and offered to test them out for herself. She’s used to roving around sniffing out stories, including jetting off to Tenerife to search for Jay Slater earlier this month – and now she plans to fly to Spain.

Speaking on the programme, Dermot revealed: “Sunbed hoggers to receive a €250 fine from Spanish police – I don’t know how they’re going to do this. Spanish police say they’re going to give tourists a fine for reserving sunbeds on the Costa Blanca before 9:30.”
Isla responded: “Well. We did the story last week about you getting fined if you do a widdle in the sea, and I’d already volunteered for that job so I’ll take this one on at the same time!”
