The owners of BGT are in deep distress after receiving a notice that the show WILL HAVE TO BE CANCELED, with the main reason being Auzzy’s performance.

Fans of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) will have to wait an extra week for their dose of jaw-dropping performances,

as the show is temporarily pulled from its usual Saturday night slot.

The long-running ITV talent competition, which features judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli, is being displaced due to a major sports event.

Since its return last month, the latest series of Britain’s Got Talent has already featured a mix of extraordinary and controversial acts, from stand-up comedy to operatic performances.

However, in an unexpected scheduling shake-up,

ITV has decided to remove the show from its lineup on March 15 to make way for live coverage of the Six Nations rugby match between France and Scotland.

Schedule Disruption for Fans

Traditionally airing at 7 p.m. on Saturday evenings, Britain’s Got Talent has been a staple of weekend entertainment for years. However, with the Six Nations tournament taking precedence, fans will have to wait a little longer to see the next round of auditions. Fortunately, the disruption is only temporary, as the show will return to its regular slot the following week.

This is not the first time the show has faced schedule changes due to live sporting events. However, the latest shift comes at a time when Britain’s Got Talent is already under scrutiny, following a wave of viewer complaints about a particularly shocking act that recently aired.

Controversial Act Sparks Complaints

One of the most talked-about moments of the current season came when American performer Auzzy Blood took to the stage. His extreme stunt act, which involved inserting a corkscrew and a meat hook through his nose and mouth, left both judges and the audience stunned. The gruesome performance included a moment where Simon Cowell was invited to drink through a tube threaded through Auzzy’s nose.

For the grand finale, Auzzy suspended himself in the air using a hook attached to his face, leaving viewers both horrified and fascinated. Due to the risky nature of the act, ITV issued a warning advising audiences not to attempt similar stunts at home. Even co-host Declan Donnelly reinforced the message during the show.

However, despite the warnings, the performance led to a surge in complaints. Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom confirmed that the episode had received 57 new complaints, adding to a total of 828 so far. The majority of these grievances were directed at Auzzy Blood’s act, with some viewers finding it too extreme for prime-time television.

Weekend TV Lineup Shake-Up

The impact of the Six Nations tournament extends beyond Britain’s Got Talent. The clash has also led to a scheduling dilemma for another major entertainment show. BBC’s Gladiators, a recently revived series, is set to air at the same time as BGT on Saturday night.

Gladiators usually runs from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on BBC One, while Britain’s Got Talent follows at 7 p.m. on ITV. However, with the rugby match pushing the BBC show to a later timeslot, both programs will now compete directly for viewers. This means fans of both shows will have to decide which to watch live and which to catch up on later.

A Long-Standing TV Favorite

Since its debut in 2007, Britain’s Got Talent has cemented itself as one of the UK’s most popular talent shows, showcasing a variety of acts across 18 successful series and airing over 277 episodes. Throughout its run, the show has introduced audiences to countless talented individuals, with many acts going on to achieve national and international recognition.

Meanwhile, Gladiators originally aired between 1992 and 2000 before being revived in 2008 on Sky One. The show made a comeback in 2024, bringing a fresh take on the classic format.

What’s Next for Britain’s Got Talent?

Despite the temporary break, Britain’s Got Talent is set to return the following week, picking up right where it left off. Fans can expect more incredible performances, emotional auditions, and, of course, the signature golden buzzer moments that make the show a fan favorite.

While the schedule shake-up may be an inconvenience for regular viewers, the excitement and unpredictability of Britain’s Got Talent ensure that it will remain a must-watch program once it returns to screens. For now, audiences will have to wait a little longer to see what surprises the next set of contestants has in store.
