King Charles is “receiving spiritual guidance” on Prince Harry as an olive branch looms, according to inside sources.
Sources claim the monarch, 75, has drawn comfort from the guidance of spiritual leaders. Since his ascension to the throne, Charles has spent more time exploring theologies and the nature of forgiveness.
The insider added that Charles has taken “spiritual nourishment” from his discussions with religious leaders and is now more open to the idea of a reunion with Harry, who lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
The source claimed: “Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King it is playing a more central role.”
They continued to tell The Mail: “That reliance on faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role as he adapts to being King.”
Prince Harry and Meghan have made several public comments about the King and the wider Royal Family over the past four years.
For example, in his memoir Spare, Harry referred to Queen Camilla as his “wicked stepmother”.
Also, in an Oprah Winfrey interview, the Duchess of Sussex claimed an unnamed senior member of the Royal Family had “raised concerns” about the skin colour of her son Archie.
Charles is understood to be pained by the separation between himself and Prince Harry, which has resulted in him not seeing Archie and Lilibet since June 2022, when the duke and duchess travelled to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Concerning a possible reconciliation, the source added: “Charles misses his son. He still loves Harry and wants him back for personal reasons – regardless that he and Meghan do not [want to] return to royal life.
“Harry will always be Charles’s much-loved son. He has faith that Harry could return.
“He misses the bond they once had, and the door will always remain open to him and his family.
“He does not want years of discord and disharmony clouding his reign.”
However, insiders close to Harry recently claimed his father no longer takes his calls or responds to his letters.
This was despite the father and son duo having a positive meeting in February following the King’s cancer diagnosis.
Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on this story to GB News, while a request for comment has been sent to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s representatives.
