Recent reports have highlighted serious concerns raised by staff about celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo, 

who has faced allegations of bullying and making sexually inappropriate comments on set. 

According to sources close to the This Morning production, the complaints about D’Acampo’s behavior date back as far as a decade ago, 

with multiple crew members reportedly approaching ITV management to express their discomfort with his actions.

The allegations suggest that D’Acampo, who has become known for his charismatic and sometimes controversial presence on British television, 

may have crossed professional boundaries on more than one occasion. 

It’s claimed that the chef often made crude jokes about his manhood and sexually explicit comments that left staff members feeling uncomfortable and even humiliated. These remarks were reportedly seen as part of his “cheeky charm” but were, according to some employees, a form of bullying.

One insider told The Sun that many on set dreaded working with D’Acampo due to his behavior, describing him as someone who would throw his weight around, confident in his status as “The Talent” of the show. However, when staff members attempted to raise their concerns with senior management, they felt their complaints were dismissed, with D’Acampo’s actions often downplayed as part of his on-screen persona.

In 2023, these concerns resurfaced when several staff members again raised issues with ITV bosses regarding D’Acampo’s conduct. As a result, ITV executives have reportedly launched an investigation into the matter, with over 40 people now coming forward with claims of inappropriate or intimidating behavior from the chef. The investigation has revealed disturbing allegations, including claims that D’Acampo made lewd remarks about a young woman’s physical appearance and made threats of sexual violence toward a colleague’s girlfriend.

One particularly disturbing account dates back to a 2011 magazine shoot, where a woman claims D’Acampo made an explicit comment about wanting to engage in sexual acts in front of the entire crew. Despite the incident reportedly causing shock and humiliation for the woman involved, the response from others on set was less than supportive. According to the woman, some staff members nervously laughed, while others looked away in discomfort, signaling a lack of intervention in what she described as an “aggressive” power play.

In response to these accusations, D’Acampo’s legal team has firmly denied the allegations, stating that they were never brought to his attention before and he does not recall the incident. They also emphasize that the chef does not accept that the events described took place. ITV, however, has stated that production companies bear the primary responsibility for the duty of care toward those working on set. While many of the allegations were never reported directly to ITV, the network claims it has acted on the complaints it received.

D’Acampo has also spoken publicly about the allegations, strongly denying the accusations of inappropriate behavior. He maintains that the version of events being presented to the public does not align with his recollection of his actions during his time on This Morning and other ITV projects. The chef, who has been a prominent figure in British television, insists that he has always been supported by ITV executives and that he was regularly commissioned for prime-time programs despite the claims of misconduct.

The accusations have already led to some consequences for the chef’s career. His shows have been removed from the ITV schedule, and ITV has stated that while the responsibility for ensuring a safe working environment falls to the production companies, inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Gino D’Acampo’s career on television began in the early 2000s, and he gained significant fame after winning I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2009. Following his success on the show, he became a regular on This Morning and hosted his own cooking programs, including Family Fortunes. However, with the recent flood of allegations against him, his future on television appears uncertain, and the ongoing investigation will determine whether his career can recover from these accusations.
