Ruth Langsford is embracing her fresh start with a stunning new hairstyle, following her split from Eamonn Holmes.
The 64-year-old Loose Women presenter delighted her Instagram followers on Wednesday by sharing her hair transformation experience.
She revealed to her 1.1 million fans that she uses extensions not for length but to add volume, especially after experiencing hair thinning during menopause.
Ruth looked radiant and joyful in the video as her stylist worked on her hair, capturing the entire process of fitting the extensions.
In her post, Ruth explained: “Had my extensions renewed. I don’t have them for length, just for extra volume after my hair got thinner in menopause.
These are so tiny I hardly feel them in, but I really notice the difference when I don’t.”
Fans were quick to praise Ruth’s new look and her openness about using hair extensions post-menopause, often considered a taboo subject. One admirer commented, “You look amazing Ruth. Thank you for being so transparent about having extensions after menopause – it’s usually such a taboo,” Another said, “Ah Ruth you look so happy. Loving the hair.”, reports the Mirror.
Others continued to compliment her, with remarks like “Swit-swooooo! ! Ruth you go girl, looking incredible as always,” and “Beautiful. I love that you’re being honest about using extensions too.”
Ruth Langsford is embracing a fresh start, sporting a new look as she navigates life post-split from her former co-host and husband of 14 years, Eamonn Holmes, aged 64. The couple, who announced their separation in May, have seen Ruth retain custody of their beloved Border Collie-cross pooch, recently treated for a wart on her belly.
The pair’s bond appears to have strengthened following the end of Eamonn and Ruth’s marriage, with their camaraderie already evident from several photographs taken last year. As Ruth prepares for her comeback on Loose Women, rumours swirl that she’s poised to open up about her life with her now ex-husband.
Her absence from the show since April has been noted, coinciding with the announcement of her marital split from the father-of-four.
Ruth is reportedly ready to reclaim her place on the panel next week, feeling a sense of duty to explain her three-month hiatus to the audience. A source close to the situation shared with MailOnline that while Ruth’s return will be charged with emotion, her professionalism will shine through.
She understands the need to discuss her break from the show.
“Ruth knows the viewers are heavily invested in her breakup so she will be addressing her and Eamonn for the first time on the show,” the insider revealed exclusively to MailOnline.
“The audience has been there through the highs and the lows of her relationship, she has always been very open and honest and next week will be no different… she owes it to the viewers to say something. She will be surrounded by the people she’s closest to on the show and then will be drawing a line under it… she has no plans to do a big interview, this will be the one and only time she speaks.”
