Molly-Mae Hague visited a wedding dress shop to buy a white gown just weeks after her split from Tommy Fury.
The former Love Island star admitted to her fans she felt a “bit weird ” heading to the shop
after calling off her engagement to Tommy after explaining that she needed a dress to attend a white party in Cannes.
Molly-Mae is heading to the swanky French city over the weekend after a friend invited her to be a plus one at a wedding and she admitted she needs to “let her hair down.”
Talking on her YouTube vlog Molly-Mae explained that the night before the wedding her hosts are throwing a lavish white-themed party
and that she immediately thought of the shop where her sister Zoey had purchased her wedding gown as an excellent spot to get the kind of outfit she was after.
As she sat in her car ready to head to the shop in Didsbury, Manchester, Molly-Mae told her followers: “It’s a big dressy white party, big glitzy thing. I don’t have a dress. I’m thinking if I go to this wedding dress shop – when I went with Zoe they had loads of occasion wear, not just wedding dresses.
“I thought, ‘God there are so many nice dresses in here that aren’t actually a wedding dress vibe’. I’m going to nip into the shop and see if they’ve got any white dresses.”
Molly-Mae then admitted that she had considered it was odd to be heading to the shop after her relationship with Tommy ended so recently. She said: “Bit weird going to a wedding dress shop during this era of my life but got to do what I’ve got to do.”
Once in the store Molly-Mae stood on the podium to try on a draped back halterneck gown. The sweeping design went down to the floor and had a thigh-high split that she debated having made even higher with the seamstress as she showed off the stunning design.
Molly-Mae was also heard joking about the current “mindful and demure” trend on social media as she called the look “very mindful.” Once she was back at home Molly-Mae updated her fans on the dress purchase.
She said: “I secured myself a white dress, which is exciting. It wasn’t the dress you actually saw me trying on in that video, but it was kind of similar, a little bit less dressy than that dress because it just feels extremely against the grain to be buying anything white for a wedding. Obviously it’s a white party so I have to keep reminding myself that.”
