Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has reportedly expanded his growing family once again with the birth of his alleged 14th child.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has welcomed his fourth child with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at Neuralink,
making the surprise announcement through a social media post on X, the platform Musk owns.
A New Addition to Musk’s Expanding Family
Zilis, 38, shared the news on X, writing, “Discussed with Elon and,
in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus.”
She further described her newborn son as “built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold” and expressed her deep love for him. In response, Musk, 53, simply replied with a heart emoji.
This announcement also confirmed the name of Musk and Zilis’ third child, Arcadia, which had not been publicly disclosed before. Their previous children, twins Strider and Azure, were born in November 2021.
Musk’s Philosophy on Parenthood and Population Growth
Musk has been outspoken about his views on population growth, advocating for larger families and warning about declining birth rates. In a previous statement, he emphasized, “Many countries are already well below replacement rate, and the trend is that almost all will be. This is simply a fact, not a ‘debunked theory.’” He has consistently argued that global fertility rates are declining at an unsustainable rate and believes that having more children is crucial for the future of civilization.
In July 2022, when discussing his expanding family, he stated, “Bravo to big families,” and added that he would continue having children as long as he could be an active and present father in their lives.
Legal Controversy Surrounding Musk’s Alleged 14th Child
The revelation of Musk’s latest addition comes amid legal controversy, as conservative activist Ashley St. Clair recently filed a paternity lawsuit against him. St. Clair, 26, claims that Musk is the father of her five-month-old son and is seeking sole custody.
In her court filings, St. Clair stated that she is certain Musk is the father since she “did not have sexual intercourse with any other male during the time the child was conceived.” She also included a photo she allegedly sent Musk from the hospital, holding her newborn, to which he supposedly responded, “I look forward to seeing you and him this weekend.”
Furthermore, St. Clair alleges that Musk expressed a desire to have more children with her, referencing messages from November 2024 and February 2025, in which he allegedly wrote, “I want to knock you up again,” and “Well, we do have a legion of kids to make.”
Musk’s Expansive Family Tree
Musk’s known children include his twins and now four children with Zilis, as well as three children with singer Grimes. Their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, was born via surrogate, joining their son, X Æ A-12, and another son named Techno Mechanicus. Musk also shares six children with his first wife, Justine Wilson, whom he was married to from 2000 to 2008.
If St. Clair’s claims are verified, it would bring Musk’s total number of children to 14. However, Musk has not publicly addressed these allegations.
Privacy and Public Scrutiny
Musk has previously pushed back against claims that he has secretly fathered children, stating that his close friends and family are always informed of his personal life. Following reports about the birth of his 12th child, he dismissed suggestions that it was hidden, arguing that simply not issuing a public announcement does not equate to secrecy.
Despite being one of the most influential figures in technology and business, Musk’s personal life continues to attract significant media attention. His unconventional approach to family planning and his outspoken views on reproduction have fueled ongoing public discussion.
What’s Next for Musk and His Growing Family?
As Musk continues to juggle his responsibilities as the head of multiple companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and X, it remains to be seen how he will navigate his expanding role as a father. While he has yet to comment on the latest paternity lawsuit, his focus on large families aligns with his long-standing advocacy for boosting population numbers.
With a personal life as eventful as his business ventures, Musk’s ever-growing family remains a topic of fascination for both his supporters and critics alike. Whether he will confirm or deny St. Clair’s claims remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: Elon Musk’s journey as a father continues to make headlines.
