Sally Nugent admits her absence from BBC Breakfast is due to the presence of Nina Warhurst and Jon Kay, revealing deep-seated animosity behind their program.

Sally Nugent was absent from today’s episode of BBC Breakfast as Nina Warhurst stepped in present alongside Jon Kay.

Sally Nugent was replaced on today’s episode of BBC Breakfast.

The TV presenter normally hosts the early morning show with her co-star Jon Kay, but today Nina Warhurst stepped in to fill her shoes instead.

Sally has been missing from the iconic red sofa for most of the week, as she has been reporting live from Berlin, Germany’s capital, following the Euro 2024 final.

The final took place on Sunaday between England and Spain, which saw the Spaniards reign success with a score of 2-1.

However, today, the presenter was not on the BBC show at all. Now the 52-year-old has given fans an update into her whereabouts as she posted to Instagram.

Sally wrote: “What you don’t see”, as she shared an image of a number of tripods and cameramen stood in a sunny street. In another image, she showed a cardboard cutout of England manager, Gareth Southgate, who resigned earlier today.

Finally, Sally looked worn out as she shared a picture of her with her head resting on her hand and her eyes closed. She had a large bag by her feet which seemed to be full to the brim as she appeared to be waiting for something.

On yesterday’s show (Monday July 15), Sally called out her co-star, Jon, for an “annoying habit”. It seems the British presenters were feeling a bit down in the dumps following England’s defeat in the footballing competition.

Taking over hosting duties from a remote location, and referring to an email from a fan, Sally said: “Well done Jon. I love that you’re bringing the positivity.

“I’m hearing you say that someone has written into the programme saying ‘could Jon please stop sighing’ so I’m glad you didn’t sigh at that point.”

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the programme Jon moaned to his This Morning Live co-stars Helen Skelton and Gaby Roslin that he’d had to go it alone while Sally had jetted off to host in Germany’s capital, for yet another day.

He complained: “I haven’t got a Sally anywhere, I’ve got nothing, I’m just here all on my own, this morning”.

Sally Nugent’s absence on BBC Breakfast has left fans wondering about her whereabouts. While Nina Warhurst filled in for her on today’s episode, Sally has been reporting live from Berlin, Germany, following the Euro 2024 final. The match between England and Spain ended with the Spaniards claiming victory with a score of 2-1. Despite her absence from the show, Sally gave fans a glimpse into her busy schedule through Instagram. In a series of posts, she revealed behind-the-scenes moments, including a cardboard cutout of England manager Gareth Southgate, who recently resigned. It’s clear that Sally has been juggling a lot during her time in Berlin, as shown by a photo of her looking tired with a bag full of essentials by her feet. On a recent episode, Sally playfully called out her co-star Jon Kay for an “annoying habit” following England’s defeat. Despite the challenges of hosting remotely, both Jon and Sally continue to deliver entertaining and informative content for viewers. Stay tuned for more updates and engaging content from our team.
