Sabrina Carpenter is a nepo baby!

Fans of the pop diva were surprised to learn that her aunt also has a successful career in entertainment as she continues to top the charts with hits like “Please Please Please” and “Expresso.”

The Disney Channel alum credits her third-place finish in the 2009 singing contest for her discovery, but some on social media suggest her famous aunt played a role in her career.

To the internet’s surprise, Carpenter’s very famous relative also connects her to one of the world’s most popular and profitable television franchises of all time. 

Do you need a hint? The Girl Meets World actress’ aunt is the voice behind, none other than, Bart Simpson.

If you guessed Nancy Cartwright, you would be correct! 

While the duo have not been publicly photographed together for years, the Emmy winner, 66, brought her niece to various premieres during her early childhood. 

At the time, when Carpenter was just 12, Cartwright shared an adorable photo of them together, alongside Robin Williams, at a screening for Happy Feet 2 on Facebook. 

Over the years, Cartwright, who has an estimated net worth upward of $60 million, has also publicly shared support for Carpenter’s career and attended a number of her shows. 

‘My niece, Sabrina Carpenter, at the Roxy! She is all of 17–going on 30! So smart-sexy!! Look for her! She is a star!!!’ Cartwright tweeted, alongside a video of her niece performing in 2016.

Carpenter confirmed they are related back in 2021 while answering the web’s most searched questions about her with Wired.

In response to being asked if she’s related to Cartwright, the Feather hitmaker revealed: ‘[She’s] my dad’s sister!’

‘She’s the voice of Bart Simpson, don’t know if you’ve ever heard of him,’ she mused. ‘And, like, also 89 other characters on the Simpsons and a bunch of other shows and like Rufus and Kim Possible and Chuckie in the Rugrats like everything literally.’ 

Carpenter went on to call her aunt a ‘legend’ and explained they ‘work on like kind of different ends of the industry.’

Still, the Pennsylvania native said she ‘learned so much just from’  observing  Cartwright.

‘She’s so talented,’ Carpenter raved. 

Despite confirming the fact they are related a handful of times during different interviews, including on Roman Kemp’s radio show on Capital FM, many fans were completely unaware of her status as a nepo baby.

‘I was today years old when I learned that Sabrina Carpenter’s aunt is Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson,’ one Reddit user admitted. 

Another replied: ‘Damn everyone in Hollywood really is related to someone.’

‘Since Sabrina has finally made it as a popstar and her aunt is literally Bart Simpson, how quick is she gonna get that unnecessary Simpsons Celebrity guest cameo,’ a third asked.

On X (previously known as Twitter), social media users have called Carpenter being related to Cartwright as ‘iconic.’ 

The Disney Channel alum, who opened for Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour in Latin America, Australia and Singapore, has recently skyrocketed in popularity following the releases of her hits Espresso, Please Please Please, Feather and Nonsense.

Last week, Carpenter scored her her first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with single Please Please Please. 

The tune sat at number two last week, followed by her song Espresso at number three. 

Upon hearing the news, she took to social media to gush: ‘MY FIRST #1 on the HOT 100!!!!!!! And espresso at #4.. I’m very immensely grateful so i will surely always remember this day for the rest of my life!’ 

The note continued with her thanking collaborators Jack Antonoff, Amy Allen, and Laura Sisk.

‘@jackantonoff @amyallen i deeply love this song and i love you both!!!!! I love our pitchy claps!!!!! I love @sharp_stick !!!! good things come in threes,’ she added.

Wrapping up the caption, she said: ‘thank you everyone who’s listened and made it so much fun to have these songs out in the world. more to come soon.’ 

For Please Please Please’s music video, she shocked fans by casting her boyfriend Barry Keoghan as her love interest. 

The two play a modern Bonnie and Clyde duo as Sabrina finds herself mixed up in her new man’s life of crime — which includes bloody scuffles and an armed bank robbery.

The music artist’s forthcoming album Short N’ Sweet is slated for an August 23 release.
