Ruth Langsford has hinted that she’ll be back on screens sooner than we might think.
The 64-year-old has been part of the Loose Women family since 1999,
dipping in frequently to join the panel sporadically before finally singing up to a firmed-up role in 2014.
Having been a regular face on the programme for over a decade, it’s safe to say fans are now eager for her return.
It’s been widely reported that the TV icon is taking some needed time out from work duties
after the announcement of her marriage breakdown to GB News star Eamonn Holmes.
Last week the pair confirmed in a joint statement that they would be divorcing, despite both parties still wearing their wedding rings.
The pair who had been married for 14 years left fans speechless as they confirmed in a statement they would not be reconciling. A spokesperson confirmed: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
A TV source then explained to The Sun that Ruth would be taking more time out from her ITV role. They said: “Ruth will not be back on screen this week. She has decided to extend her break from ITV so will not yet be making a return to the Loose Women panel.”
However, since the announcement, Ruth has taken to Instagram with a cryptic post seemingly confirming that she will be back on Loose Women sooner than we all thought. The host of the chat show responded to an ITV make-up artist, hinting that she could be coming back on the panel.
Lottie Gibson, who is an expert celebrity make-up artist was packing her bag ready to glam up the stars of the show when her adorable baby daughter Imogen, decided to help out. The tiny tot can be seen adding items to a large suitcase that had been sprawled out on the floor.
With the snippet being too cute not to share with her fans, Lottie uploaded the clip and tagged some of her favourite cast members – including Ruth. To which Eamonn’s ex-wife took to her own feed to re-share the cute video.
Hinting at her return to the daytime programme, Ruth penned alongside the snippet: “Please bring her with you.” Despite the clip causing some excitement among fans, Ruth did not appear as member of Wednesday’s panel.
Although Ruth has not yet made an appearance on Loose Women since the split announcement, she has been posting and sharing often on social media. She even posed and plugged her QVC clothing line, proving that it was business as usual.
Looking glam in dark sunglasses, she showcased her killer figure in a fitted khaki jacket, knitted vest and a light pair of denim-wash jeans.
