Good Morning Britain hosts Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway were joined by Olly Murs ahead of the BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? which airs on Thursday night.
Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley couldn’t help but express his mock outrage at guest Olly Murs’ string of blessings while interviewing him on the popular ITV breakfast show.
The former X Factor sensation joined Richard and Kate Garraway to talk about his participation in BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? which airs on Thursday night.
As their conversation commenced, fans were indulged with a montage of Ollys musical hits. Following the video, Kate, with a nod to his hit Troublemaker, playfully teased that it’s time for Olly to act more mature now that he’s a father.
Olly shared with the hosts his anticipation of showing his daughter his career, as snippets of his family life graced the screen, reports the Mirror.
Richard didn’t hesitate as he said: “Look at you! You’ve got a beautiful baby, you’ve got a beautiful wife. You look great, you’ve got a fantastic career, you’ve got a great back catalogue. You make me sick!”

Olly took the jest in stride, laughing heartily at Richard’s tongue-in-cheek compliment. As the laughter subsided, Olly responded: “I’ll take it!”
Richard further clarified: “What I mean is, you must feel blessed sometimes.”
Agreeing wholeheartedly, the 40 year old singer reckoned with the incredible developments in his life recently, including tying the knot with Amelia Tank in 2023 and the April arrival of their daughter Madison.
Additionally, Olly celebrated an impressive landmark of 15 years in the music industry. Richard was taken aback when he responded: “It’s not 15?! I thought that was a misprint in our notes.”

Olly, reflecting on the swift passage of time, said: “It has been an amazing time. I’m super happy, life’s good at the moment.”
During the interview, Kate commended his dedication to work and his boundless energy. She remarked: “Tonight we see that actually, that spirit goes right back through the genes.”
Olly shared a fascinating insight from his episode of Who Do You Think You Are? where he found out his ancestors were circus performers.

He explained: “I found out that Veronica, my great grandmother was a trapeze artist, a full-time trapeze artist. In that clip, she was five months pregnant with my grandad.”
“She was based in Latvia and they would travel around the Baltic seas, different countries to Germany and Finland, they were performing for troops, people at war and they were just entertainers.
“There was me thinking that I was the only Murs that had their name in lights and Murs was already a thing!”
