Princess Anne reveals another accident on her 74th birthday, with her current health condition sparking widespread concern among fans.

Princess Anne is back in action as she continues to recover from a horse-related “incident” that occurred last month.

The 73-year-old sister of King Charles made a public appearance on July 19 in Gloucestershire, England, where she officially opened a new emergency department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. This engagement marked one of her first since the accident and was followed by another event at the agricultural showground in Malvern, Worcestershire, not far from her Gatcombe Park estate.

Just a day earlier, on July 18, it was revealed that Princess Anne had canceled several upcoming trips to Scotland and Norfolk, England, scheduled for the following week. On the advice of her doctors, she was urged to take a cautious approach to resuming her full-time royal duties. Anne had planned to visit the NLV Pharos, a lighthouse tender in Scotland, on July 22 and 23. However, royal aides stated that the long journey from her Gloucestershire home made the trip unfeasible at this time.

It is understood that Princess Anne is continuing her rest and recovery and will only resume public duties when her medical team deems it safe and comfortable for her to do so.

Friday’s visit to Worcestershire Royal Hospital was especially significant, as Princess Anne herself had required emergency care following her accident on June 23. She suffered a concussion and minor injuries during the incident at Gatcombe Park. In a statement issued on June 24, Buckingham Palace announced, “Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.”

Upon her arrival at the hospital’s new Emergency Department, Princess Anne was seen engaging in conversation with the staff. The Royal College of Emergency Medicine acknowledged her return in a social media post, saying, “Wonderful to see that our patron, HRH the Princess Royal, is recovering well and will officially open the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust’s new emergency department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester today.”

Earlier in the week, on July 17, Princess Anne visited a British Army Military Intelligence Battalion in Salisbury, Wiltshire, another location close to her Gatcombe Park home.

On July 12, she made her first public appearance since the accident by attending the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury University and Hartpury College in Gloucestershire. There, she revealed that she couldn’t “remember a single thing” about the incident. Despite the setback, Anne appeared to be in high spirits as she participated in the equestrian event, presenting awards and meeting the winners.

Princess Anne was discharged from Southmead Hospital on June 28, after a five-day stay. Upon leaving, her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, expressed his gratitude to the hospital staff, stating, “I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise, and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”
