Millie Mackintosh stunned the hosts of This Morning into silence when she abruptly declared that she HATES HER CHILD because they forced her to give up “a passion” of hers after childbirth. What happened?

Millie Mackintosh, the former Made in Chelsea star and fashion entrepreneur, recently shared a deeply personal and emotional story in an interview on This Morning

The 31-year-old mother of two opened up about the difficulties she faced with alcohol after becoming a new mum,

revealing how her struggles with drinking compounded the challenges of motherhood.

During the candid conversation, Millie confessed that her drinking problem worsened after the birth of her first child, causing her to feel overwhelmed and unable to cope.

She admitted to feeling trapped in a cycle where alcohol became a crutch for dealing with the stresses of being a new parent. Millie explained,

“I poured fuel on the fire with my drinking problem. As a new mum, I struggled so much that I could barely keep going.

It became a way for me to escape from everything, but it only made things worse.”

In the interview, Millie spoke openly about how alcohol impacted her emotional and physical well-being. As she recounted her struggles, it was clear how deeply the experience affected her. Millie shared how, during this period, she felt disconnected from herself and unable to be the mum she wanted to be. Her addiction to alcohol led to feelings of guilt and inadequacy, which made her isolation even more difficult.

Despite the challenges, Millie showed incredible strength by revealing how she eventually recognized the need for change. She spoke about her decision to get help and the immense courage it took for her to confront her addiction. “It took a long time to realise that I needed help,” she said. “I had to admit to myself that I couldn’t keep going down that path if I wanted to be there for my daughter and be the best version of myself.”

Millie’s story resonated deeply with viewers, particularly parents who have struggled with similar issues. Her vulnerability and honesty about her journey with alcohol addiction served as a reminder that seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a brave step towards healing. Millie also spoke about the importance of mental health and how addressing her emotional well-being helped her break free from the cycle of self-destructive behavior.

Throughout the interview, Millie emphasized how important it has been for her to prioritize self-care and to surround herself with a strong support system. She credited her partner, Hugo Taylor, for being there for her through the difficult moments and offering unwavering support. “I couldn’t have done it without Hugo,” Millie said. “Having someone who understands and encourages me to take care of myself has been a game-changer.”

Millie’s candid admission about her struggles with alcohol also sheds light on the broader issue of postnatal mental health and the pressure new mothers often face to meet societal expectations of motherhood. In her case, alcohol became a way to cope with the overwhelming emotions of becoming a parent, but Millie’s journey to recovery highlights the importance of being kind to oneself during tough times and seeking professional help when necessary.

Since addressing her alcohol problem, Millie has made significant strides in improving her mental and physical health. She now encourages other parents to be open about their own challenges, as well as to prioritize their well-being. Her message is clear: there is no shame in admitting that you’re struggling, and seeking support can lead to a happier, healthier life.

Viewers watching the This Morning interview praised Millie for her bravery and openness, with many expressing gratitude for her honesty in tackling a topic that is often stigmatized. Millie’s willingness to share her story has already made a positive impact on those who may be facing similar struggles.

Now, with two children, Millie continues to focus on her family, self-care, and maintaining her sobriety. Her story is a testament to the power of vulnerability, self-awareness, and the importance of seeking help when it’s needed most. Millie’s journey serves as an inspiration for others who may be facing similar battles, proving that there is always hope for recovery and growth.
