Meghan “throws a fit” demanding a divorce from Harry to return to a normal life after he failed to get the royal family to ensure the safety of their family following assassination threats from a terrorist gang: “I can’t stand living in fear of showing my face outside because I might be killed!”

A former employee of the Sussexes has shared how Meghan Markle really feels about Prince Harry’s ongoing legal battle for security to protect their family of four

Prince Harry ‘s deep-rooted fear of history repeating itself is stopping him from being ‘free’, an ex-employee of the Sussexes has revealed.

A former worker of the Archewell Foundation has shared Megha n’s true feelings about Harry’s legal battle to reinstate police protection for himself and his family.

The source claims that Meghan, 42, is wholly supportive of the Duke’s dispute but “wants him to be free” of his lawsuits and stop carrying the weight of litigation.

They reportedly said the mother-of-two knows that Harry’s love for his children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, is stopping him from giving up.

The tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, in 1997 – when she was involved in a fatal car crash in Paris – also weighs heavily on him and drives him to succeed in getting personal security for his family.

The former staffer told PEOPLE Magazine that Meghan “supports Harry 100 percent but she wishes he could let go of these lawsuits, be happy and live in the moment”. They continued: “She wants him to be free of all of this, but she also knows that because of everything he’s been through and his love for [her and their children], he can’t.”

The source added: “She wants him to live in a world where he is not burdened by this.” The Duke has expressed himself that he is deeply concerned for the safety of his family. He has been embroiled in a long-running battle over his security when he comes to the UK after he automatically lost the right to his police protection when he stepped down from royal duties.

He took legal action over the February 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) which ruled he would no longer be given the “same degree” of publicly-funded protection when in the country. Ravec’s decision came as a result of a change in the Duke’s ‘status’ after he stopped being a “full-time working” royal.

In February, retired High Court judge Sir Peter Lane rejected the Duke’s case that he was “singled out” and treated “less favourably” by the decision and concluded Ravec’s approach was not irrational nor procedurally unfair. After the ruling, a legal spokesperson for Harry said in a statement that the Duke “hopes to obtain justice from the Court of Appeal”.

During a hearing at the High Court, it was told that Harry believes his children cannot “feel at home” in the UK if it is “not possible to keep them safe” there. At a previous hearing in the case, Harry said in a statement: “It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020. The UK is my home.

“The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home, as much as where they live at the moment in the United States. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil. I cannot put my wife in danger like that and, given my experiences in life, I am reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too.”
