Matt Damon, who once warned Ben Affleck about marrying his ex-lover Jennifer Lopez, is now holding his wife Luciana and soaking in the romantic sea, causing fans to buzz, calling Ben “really stupid for not listening to him”

Matt Damon seemed more in love than ever with his wife of nearly 20 years Luciana on Monday while on vacation on the celebrity destination in Mykonos, Greece.

The Bourne Identity actor put his arms around the 47-year-old former bartender as they took a dip in the ocean during a sunny afternoon.

His spouse looked slender and toned in a black bikini as Matt slipped into men’s swimming shorts while wearing a cap and sunglasses.

The Air star, 53, and his wife hit the beautiful island every year with their children.

The couple – who recently made a red carpet appearance at the premiere of IF – were also seen walking on the shore of the Aegean Sea.

This comes after Matt and Luciana had to evacuate their hotel after a bomb threat that turned out to be fake over the weekend.

The Mykonos Police Sub-Directorate took immediate action after receiving an anonymous email falsely claiming explosive devices had been placed in four beach bars across the Greek island.

The couple vacationed with their four daughters, Alexia, 25, Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, and Stella, 13.

Alexia was four when Matt met Luciana in a crowded nightclub in Miami, Florida in 2003 while he was in town shooting the movie Stuck On You.

‘Matt’s story is that he saw me across the room and there was a light on me. And I’m like: “Yeah it was a nightclub – there were lights everywhere!” she said in a rare interview with Vogue Australia in 2018.

She said that Matt started to get recognized and hid behind the bar to hang out.

‘He says, “Oh I saw you and I really wanted to talk to you.”

Even though she felt a spark with the Hollywood hunk, she was reticent to act on it because she had a young daughter.

‘But I was like: ‘I can’t, I have a four-year-old daughter, I’m not going anywhere’… and that was one of the things he loved, that I had a daughter,’ she explained.

‘He said: “I love that you’re a mum and that’s your priority.” Some guys might have been different, they might think it’s complicated, but for him it wasn’t.’

The couple got engaged in September 2005 and wed nearly three months later in a private civil ceremony at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau.

When his first child, Isabella was born, he said it changed his life.

‘I really used to have no life outside movies. I’d work all day, go to the gym and go to sleep,’ he told UK’s Sunday Express.

‘Now I have a place to be so I come home after work.’

Last month it was reported that Damon and Ben Affleck are to star in the thriller RIP.

The pair have boarded the cast of the picture that is being written and directed by Joe Carnahan with Damon and Affleck’s company Artists Equity producing.

Plot details are yet to be revealed but the project is being described as a crime thriller and is expected to shoot later this year.

RIP has come together rapidly in recent weeks as Matt and Ben were searching for a new film for Artists Equity after releasing the movie ‘Air’ in 2023.

Carnahan has previous in the crime thriller genre with movies such as ‘Narc’ and ‘Smokin’ Aces’ (which Affleck featured in).

Matt and Ben have been close friends since childhood and founded Artists Equity in 2022 with a promise to focus on smaller dramas rather than the “assembly line process” of filmmaking that is used by corporations such as Netflix.

Speaking at the New York Times’ Dealbook Summit, Affleck said: ‘If you ask (Netflix co-CEO and chairman) Reed Hastings… he’d say, “Hey, we went for quantity to establish a footprint.”

‘I’m sure there’s wisdom in that and I’m sure they had a great strategy, but I would have said, “How are we going to make 50 great movies? How is that possible?” There’s no committee big enough. There aren’t enough – you just can’t do it.’

The Deep Water star continued: ‘It’s a thing that requires attention and dedication and work and resists the assembly line process.

‘(Netflix’s head of original films) Scott Stuber is a really talented, smart guy who I really like… but it’s an impossible job.’
