Make-up artist Lisa Armstrong has surprised her fans by sharing a suggestive social media post about single life six years after her divorce to Ant McPartlin was finalised
Lisa Armstrong has surprised fans by sharing a suggestive social media post about single life.
The 47-year-old make-up artist – who is part of the senior team working on the BBC’s troubled talent show Strictly Come Dancing – was previously married to Ant McPartlin, 48.
Following the collapse of her marriage, Lisa appeared to find happiness again by dating an electrician named James Green, 41.
However, the pair split in August last year. Since then, Lisa’s romantic life has been kept out of the spotlight, but over the weekend she hinted that she is having some fun in her single days.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the make-up expert shared a social media post that had been uploaded by the inspirational and motivational Instagram page Wealthy Women Guide.
The post suggestively stated: “Stop asking me if I’m single or not. If you like me, just join the team. The winner will be announced soon.”
Lisa shared the post to her Stories and tagged a friend while also adding a number of heart related emojis to her re-share. Fans have been left questioning that the statement is in reference to her own love life as the flirtatious message alludes to someone dating more than one person at once.
Earlier in the weekend, Lisa shared another quote post that was originally published on the Deepest Messages page. The quote of that one stated: “I identify as a danger, My pronouns are try/me” – which Lisa re-shared alongside a string of crying with laughter emojis.
It has been a year since Lisa’s relationship with James collapsed – with the break-up reportedly coming “out of the blue”. Lisa and James started dating in 2020 when dad-of-two James was estranged from his wife and the pair swiftly moved from lockdown dates to jet-setting around the world.
A source told the Daily Mail at the time of the split: “I don’t really know what has gone wrong. The two of them were only on a swanky holiday together in the Caribbean or somewhere about eight weeks ago. He was with her one day, and he just wasn’t with her the next day. There was no inkling that anything was wrong.”
Subsequent reports suggested that Lisa was considering legal action amid claims James allegedly owed her tens of thousands of pounds. However, Lisa later took to social media to furiously deny the reports. She wrote online: “Just for your records I have NEVER threatened to take anyone to court, and for your second record did not receive £31 million.”
Last September, Lisa faced further strife when the West London home she shared with Ant caught fire. It was understood that Lisa had been renting out the house since their 2018 split. She took to Instagram following the devastating blaze to post a quote that read: “Once the heart gets too heavy with pain, people don’t cry. They just turn silent. Completely silent.”
