Lily Allen admits to having h@rmful tendencies toward people around her, blaming her distant husband, David Harbour. What’s going on?

Lily Allen has openly admitted to having “red flag behaviours” in relationships while discussing her past romantic experiences on the latest episode of her Miss Me?

podcast with Miquita Oliver. The revelation comes as the 39-year-old singer continues to navigate her split from estranged husband David Harbour,

who has since moved on with 27-year-old aspiring model and actress Ellie Fallon.

Allen’s candid admission follows reports that she recently checked herself into an exclusive £8,000-

a-week trauma centre after reaching what friends described as a breaking point amid her marital turmoil.

Lily Reflects on Relationship Patterns

During the podcast episode, Allen spoke about her emotional tendencies in relationships,

tracing some of her behaviours back to her first romance with Lester Lloyd. She described how, as a child, she was naturally affectionate, but when she entered her first serious relationship, her entire emotional focus shifted onto her partner.

“I think I was a tactile kid but as soon as I got my first boyfriend, Lester [Lloyd], there was a complete transference of intimacy,” Allen explained.

She went on to say that after getting into a relationship, she no longer felt comfortable expressing affection towards her family, instead placing all of her emotional needs onto one person.

“Not only did I not want to touch, be cuddled or kissed by anyone in my family, I couldn’t engage in it with them either. It was like, ‘No, this person is where I put that now.’ It’s incredibly red flag, co-dependent behaviour. I just put all my emotional dependency on one person.”

The discussion on relationship dynamics arose as Allen and Oliver spoke about their views on kissing. Allen admitted to being very fond of kissing, calling it a “wonderful thing,” but also reflected on how unusual it is compared to other species in the animal kingdom.

David Harbour Moves On

Meanwhile, David Harbour has reportedly moved on with model Ellie Fallon, who is 22 years younger than him. The Hollywood actor is believed to have known Fallon for several months, with sources suggesting that she was the mystery woman seen accompanying him on his New Year trip to India.

Reports indicate that Allen is struggling with her estranged husband’s new romance, particularly after spotting social media photos of Fallon smoking one of Harbour’s favourite cigar brands. Friends of the singer claim she believes this to be a sign that the relationship may have begun before she and Harbour officially separated.

A source revealed, “Lily is aware of the romance and has been very upset. Seeing the picture Ellie posted of herself smoking a cigar, taken weeks before Lily and David called it quits, has convinced her that Ellie and David had been seeing each other before they split.”

Lily’s Mental Health Struggles and Trauma Recovery

Allen has been open about her struggles with mental health, revealing that she recently checked herself into a trauma centre for intensive therapy. She admitted that after her break-up with Harbour, she felt emotionally overwhelmed and needed professional help to regain her strength.

Speaking on the podcast, she explained her decision to seek treatment, saying, “It was a big decision to have to leave [my children] for a few weeks to go and focus on myself, but ultimately it was for them so that I can get us through this bit. I needed some help to be able to do that.”

She also addressed speculation that she had neglected her two daughters, clarifying that her time away was necessary to be a better mother for them.

“People think I hate my children. I really don’t. I absolutely adore my children, and I’m in a situation now where I really have to be my strongest self for them. I felt like it was getting harder and harder for me to be able to show up for them in the way that they need me to.”

Struggles with Medication in the U.S.

In another revelation, Allen expressed frustration with the medical system in the U.S., claiming that American doctors had prescribed her antidepressants that negatively affected her mental health.

She explained that the medication she was given last year “sent me f**ing crazy”* and that she eventually had to switch to a different prescription after realizing it was making her emotional state worse.

“Before I came to America, my friend Olivia said to me, ‘Just be really careful of the doctors over there and the prescriptions that they prescribe you for things,’” she recalled. “But I really think I was done a bit of a number on by one of the antidepressants I got put on, and it really did not work for me.”

Despite facing multiple personal struggles, Allen assured listeners that she is now in a stronger place. She acknowledged that while she is still healing, she feels more capable of handling her responsibilities and emotions.

“I’m not saying that I’m 100% there or getting it 100% right or that I ever will, but I’m definitely in a stronger place.”

Moving Forward

As Allen continues to process her break-up and work on her mental health, Harbour appears to be embracing a new chapter with Fallon. While the Stranger Things star has not publicly commented on his new relationship, sources suggest that he has been spending a lot of time with Fallon in Atlanta, where he has been filming the final season of the hit Netflix series.

For Allen, the road to recovery remains a work in progress. However, by openly addressing her struggles and taking steps to improve her well-being, she is determined to rebuild her life on her own terms.
