Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend Jake Mclean on the second anniversary of his tragic death, saying she received a ‘sign’ from him

TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has shared an emotional ‘sign’ she believes came from her late ex-boyfriend Jake Mclean on the anniversary of his tragic death.

She’s convinced that Jake was “definitely” communicating with her two years after his fatal car crash in Turkey on 5 July 2022. 

Jake was driving with TOWIE star Yazmin Oukhellou when the incident happened. Despite severe injuries, Yazmin, then 30, miraculously survived after freeing herself from the wreckage.

Lauren, who dated Jake from 2012 in a rocky relationship that lasted for over four years, remained close to him even after their split in 2016. 

During their relationship, the now-37-year-old had Jake’s name tattooed on her inner wrist. However, she revealed that she had undergone laser removal sessions and the tattoo had faded considerably.

Yet, on the day marking two years since Jake’s passing, Lauren felt the tattoo appeared more visible than ever before. Posting an image of the faint tattoo on Instagram, she expressed her shock and told her followers: “I had my Jake tattoo removed years ago and I never finished the sessions but it was not that visible…,”, reports OK!.

“Today my friend said let me see your arm you going keep that and I looked at my wrist and there is Jake’s name clear as day WOW. He definitely showing me today.”

Lauren Goodger honoured her late former partner on the poignant date, posting a touching photo of the two of them with the caption: “5th July. Thinking of you today Jake always in my heart and thoughts so said.. A terrible loss love always Lauren,” accompanied by a white heart emoji.

The TOWIE alum was seen at Jake’s funeral last year, where she joined fellow cast members James Argent and Liam Gatsby in saying their goodbyes. She took to social media to express her feelings, stating that Jake will “always be apart of me”.

Jake McLean, who tragically passed away, was involved with TOWIE’s Yazmin Oukhellou at the time, rekindling their relationship from 2019 and vacationing in Bodrum when the fatal incident occurred. Yazmin later left the ITV show, reportedly needing time to heal from the tragic event.
