Katie Price’s ex, Carl Woods, broke his silence, confessing he felt terrified of her son Harvey, who allegedly “used his life as leverage” to threaten him during an outing: “He smashed his head into that thing…”

Carl Woods, Katie Price’s ex-partner,

recently shared a harrowing experience involving her son Harvey in a candid moment featured in their Channel 4 documentary *Katie Price: Making Babies*.

The documentary follows Katie, Carl, and her journey exploring IVF as they attempted to expand her family.

The series offers a personal glimpse into Katie’s life as a mother of five,

including sons Junior, 19, and Jett, 11, daughters Princess, 17, and Bunny, 10, and her oldest child, Harvey, 22.

In one particularly tense scene, Carl recalled a frightening moment involving Harvey while they were on a trip to Devon.

As they were traveling back, Carl described an incident where Harvey, who has a learning disability, partial blindness due to septo-optic dysplasia, autism, and Prader-Willi Syndrome, sneezed and accidentally put his head through the car window. “Harvey’s put his head through the window of that car,” Carl explained while looking out the window of Katie’s Sussex mansion. “We were going down the motorway, he went, ‘Tchoo,’ and he went bang straight through, the window’s gone out.”

The moment was clearly unsettling for Carl, who was visibly concerned about the safety of both Harvey and everyone in the car. While it was a frightening experience, it also highlighted the unpredictable nature of Harvey’s condition and the challenges Katie faces daily in her role as a mother.

Katie, who was just 24 when she gave birth to Harvey, has been incredibly open about her parenting journey, particularly when it comes to her son’s complex medical and developmental needs. Harvey has faced numerous health challenges, including partial blindness, autism, and Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that can cause an excessive appetite. Throughout her experiences as a mother to Harvey, Katie has had to navigate numerous hospital visits, therapy sessions, and adjustments to daily life.

Katie has often shared how isolating it felt to raise Harvey, especially since many of her friends did not have children with learning disabilities. “There were always lots of doctors, hospital visits and then different classes you do for stimulation, play therapy, speech therapy,” she revealed. “Because Harvey was my first, I had nothing to compare him to, but I would notice other babies of his age and how behind he was. I could tell by the noises he made, and he never said ‘Mum.’ None of my friends had kids with learning disabilities, so it was a lonely place.”

Despite the struggles, Katie’s deep bond with Harvey is evident, and she has expressed immense gratitude for the lessons she’s learned from being his mother. “I’ve always been a maternal person and wanting to care, so I believe I was obviously meant to have Harvey,” she shared. “I’ve dealt with it really well and had good support around the family.” Her resilience in the face of these challenges has inspired many others who are in similar situations.

Carl Woods, who was involved with Katie during her IVF journey, also reflected on their relationship and how their IVF attempt did not result in a child together. Carl revealed that the failure of their IVF attempt was not as devastating as one might expect. In fact, he expressed relief at the outcome, suggesting that perhaps it was for the best. “This is not a heartbreak situation. I’m not unhappy that it didn’t work. I’m ecstatic that it didn’t work. I’m sure she’s glad she’s got the clean break. You know, we don’t have any ties,” Carl explained.

He added that he believed their relationship wasn’t meant to result in parenthood together. “God was looking down on me and Kate and said, ‘You’re not matched to be parents, let’s not make this work. You go that way, I’ll go this way.’” This perspective sheds light on Carl’s current sense of closure regarding their relationship and his contentment with the way things have turned out.

While Katie and Carl ultimately split after their IVF journey, their story reflects the ups and downs of their relationship, as well as the unique challenges that come with raising a child with complex needs. Katie continues to be an incredibly devoted mother to Harvey, and her openness in sharing her experiences offers valuable insight into the realities of parenting a child with special needs. Despite the hurdles, she remains a pillar of strength and love for her children, proving that, while difficult, the journey is worth every step.
