When Katie Price jetted off to Turkey to undergo yet another bout of surgery, an arrest warrant was issued after she failed to show up for her bankruptcy hearing.
And now, according to reports, her children Junior, 19 and Princess, 17.
Have been left “mortified” by her arrest warrant and fear negative press will overshadow their attempt to break into the entertainment industry.
Katie, who was known by her glamour model name of Jordan, was issued the warrant by Judge Catherine Burton.
A source told The Mail: “Junior and Princess are now old enough to see right from wrong.
They are well adjusted, they have grown up in a household where there have been boundaries. So seeing their mum behaving like this is difficult for them, it’s sad.
Junior is in the studio getting ready to release music and Princess is getting offered work all over the place but they are so anxious that all they will be asked about is Katie. She is out of control.”
However, Katie has insisted that she is in control of the dire circumstance. The former glamour model, who is currently dating Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, was meant to face questions about her finances in the bankruptcy court. A judge at a previous hearing warned that she would face arrest if she failed to attend future court dates. They also stated that evidence had to be submitted if for any reason, she could not appear in person.
But unfortunately for the TV personality, it came to light that she headed to Turkey following a now deleted post on Instagram, where she was reportedly seen eating a crisp sandwich on a flight. Defending her recent trip abroad, the star claimed that she was working on a documentary about corrective surgeries.
Taking to social media, she wrote: “I have and am continuing to cooperate with the relevant people on matters to the best of my ability which will be addressed after my return from work. Despite consistent stories trying to humiliate me on my personal misfortunes, I am neither embarrassed or ashamed. I own my situation and I am trying my best to work my way out of it and put matters right.” She continued: “I am not running from matters.”
Judge Barton reportedly issued the warrant due to the fact that Katie seemingly had no valid reason to not attend the hearing and also failed to provide information on her bankruptcies. Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year. During a hearing in February, the mum of five was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult site OnlyFans for three years. And this was in relation to her first bankruptcy. To make matters worse, she was then declared bankrupt again due to an unpaid tax bill for an estimated £750,000.
