Loose Women panellist Judi Love opened up about her own experiences during a segment discussing violence against women on the ITV show, with her co-stars left reeling
Loose Women star Judi Love has opened up about a horror attack live on the ITV show.
Judi shared that while she was alone in a dark road by herself, she was approached and “grabbed” by a strange man who left her fearing for her life. Judi had the full support of her co-stars Charlene White, Nadia Sawalha and Linda Robson.
Judi explained on the show: “As a social worker, I wouldn’t even want to dare touch on in the home or in small communities about people being afraid to speak up. This is a conversation you have to have with your daughters and sons.
“I’ve had situations as a comedian, travelling home late at night. I was in a particular area at night and I started to walk in the middle of the road because I just felt something…
“That gave me an extra 20 seconds because as I turned down the road, a guy grabbed me and I just, in that moment, I turned into, ‘This is a fight, this is just what I’ve got to do’. I looked him in the eye and said, ‘If this is what you wanna do, just know what you’re doing’.”

Back in 2021, Judi referenced the same incident, explaining: “As a grown woman, I do comedy and there are times I travel quite late by myself in my area, and there was one particular night, the guy was on the other side of the road, I was on the main high road.
The Loose Women panellists were quick to sympathise
“And I saw him pull his cap down and run towards me, and in that 30 seconds, my car was round the corner, and I was like, ‘Should I run to my car? But I thought if I run to my car I am in a dark space, so I just stood and took him straight on, he grabbed my hand and I thought, ‘He is gonna mug me.’
“So I just started to have a conversation [with him], ‘Is this what you wanna do? Is this what you wanna do? Take what you are going to take.’”
Judi never goes out walking late aloneThankfully the incident ended without anyone getting hurt, as Judi said: “He just looked me in my eye, I don’t know what it was, and he just threw my hand down and walked off, it wasn’t until afterwards I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, that really happened.’”
She now refuses to go walking late at night and always texts someone about where she’s going, admitting: “Thinking about it makes me a bit shaky.”
