England footballer Kyle Walker was tonight heading home to Manchester after a two day court showdown with Lauryn Goodman – with pals saying he was “relieved” it was over.
The Man City defender, 34, shares two children with 33-year-old reality star Lauryn after an on-off fling with her.
And the hearing was at court in London’s Holborn was to discuss financial arrangements.
Kyle has only been back from the Euros final with the England team for literally a few hours before he left Manchester to head to London for the court hearing.
Details of the case are expected to remain confidential but after both sides gave evidence over two days.
The judge will retire to consider the details and insiders say they expect him to deliver a written verdict in the coming weeks.
A source close to Kyle said: “He is relieved the court case with Lauryn is over and he can go back to Manchester to be with his wife Annie and the family. He barely got to see them when he came back from the Euros and then had to head to London so he is looking forward to some quality family time now before the new football season starts.”
Kyle confirmed he was the father of Lauryn’s daughter in January, while his wife Annie Kilner was heavily pregnant with their fourth child. He had already fathered son Kairo with influencer Lauryn after a short-lived relationship while separated from Annie in 2020.
As she arrived at court today, Lauryn wore a necklace with the initials “KW” – said to be a nod to her son Kairo rather than Kyle – as she made her way into the court. In January, apologetic England defender Kyle spoke honestly about his personal issues in an interview.
At the time he said: “What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through.”
He added: The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I’m aware of and I’ve made stupid choices. But I need to own up to my mistakes — I owe it to everyone. My actions have caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I’m sorry because, as a family, this isn’t meant to happen.”
Lauryn took son Kairo to the Euros last month. She also shared Kairo’s reaction to England’s loss in the final – insisting the youngster was desperate to call his dad. She insisted the trip was not about getting attention and said: “We are not here to please other people. It’s about Kairo and what is best for him and what is going to make him happy. I won’t be scapegoated or bullied and made to feel like a villain.”
It is understood Kyle provides financially for Lauryn’s children but is not part of their lives and is now concentrating on patching up life with wife Annie Kilner and their family together. Annie and Kyle have four children together, Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, and Reign, five and baby Rezon. The latest court case between Kyle and Lauryn lasted two days in London, beginning on Tuesday shortly after Kyle returned from the Euros on Monday.
