Eamonn Holmes has given fans an update on his beloved dog Maggie after the pooch underwent an operation, with the pet reportedly being at the centre of his divorce battle with Ruth Langsford.
Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are currently embroiled in a divorce dispute, with the custody of their cherished dog Maggie at the heart of the matter, according to reports.
Ruth has been keeping her followers updated on Maggie’s health, especially after the 14 year-old pooch underwent surgery to remove a growth.
But some fans have been concerned about the lack of Maggie content on Eamonn’s own social media pages.
Earlier this month, Ruth posted a video showing Maggie post-operation, sporting a shaved back, and expressed that the dog was feeling “a bit sorry for herself”.
She captioned the video: “Maggie had a little wart removed this morning under sedation so she’s feeling a bit sorry for herself this afternoon! Lots of TLC from Mummy required.” She also thanked St George’s Veterinary Centre for “looking after our precious girl.”
Eamonn, meanwhile, reassured his Instagram followers about Maggie’s wellbeing today, 22 days after Ruth’s post, by sharing a photo of him snuggling with the dog. He captioned it: “A lot of you wondering about Maggie. She’s had an op to remove a growth. All well. Not bad for a 14 year old! In fact she’s in better shape than me.”
Fans showed their appreciation for the update and encouraged Eamonn to take care of his own health, reports the Mirror. One fan commented: “Maggie is beautiful Eamon but please do look after yourself also I hope your notability improves it’s hard to keep an Irish man down.”
Another added: “Lovely pic Eamon and so pleased Maggie is well love her our fur babies are family hope you’re doing well too living in pain is awful so sending u lots of well wishes.”
Eamonn has recently shared his experience with an anti-gravity machine, which he’s been using to improve his mobility following a series of health issues. In a candid video posted on social media, Eamonn is seen on the treadmill, stating: “Trying to remember what it felt like to have legs that worked.”
Over the years, Eamonn has been open about his health struggles and just a few months ago, he was still dealing with mobility problems and pain. He has since been spotted in a wheelchair at events, including one held last month.
In the recent post, Eamonn introduces his followers to the anti-gravity treadmill, saying: “Hello there. This is my latest exploit. This is what’s called an anti-gravity treadmill. It’s an Alter G anti-gravity treadmill.”
