Ex Alex Reid attended Katie Price’s bankruptcy hearing, declaring, “I can’t wait to read about the consequences she’ll face after ‘abusing me continuously for years.'”

Former glamour model Katie Price’s ex Alex Reid has turned up to her bankruptcy hearing in London

Alex Reid has arrived in court as his ex Katie Price’s bankruptcy hearing gets underway.

The former glamour model, 46, is in court today as part of the latest in her bankruptcy hearing.

It’s the first time she will have faced a judge in seven months after skipping previous hearings.

She was warned that she will be arrested if she did not attend today’s date after skipping court last month to go to Turkey for more cosmetic surgery, including a £10,000 facelift.

After arriving in a black cab, Price, wearing all black and sunglasses and accompanied by another woman, did not speak to reporters as she entered the Rolls Building. The hearing before Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Nicholas Briggs was due to start at 10.30am.

Alex, who was married to Katie between 2010 and 2012, was seen arriving at the court in a white T-shirt and pink shorts. Following their split, he claimed he was “swept away” by the sudden fame. Alex said he had been on the brink of the showbiz world for years as an MMA fighter and had brief stints in Hollyoaks and Tom Hanks movie Saving Private Ryan before meeting Katie in 2009 shortly after her divorce from first husband Peter Andre.

“All of a sudden I’m stratospheric everywhere because of my relationship with a certain person. I’m everywhere,” Alex said on GB News. “I was just swept away with it. I didn’t know what planet I was on. I was like a lamb to the slaughter.” Following their split, he told the Mirror: “The wedding was whirlwind and a bit of a surprise. Katie planned it all. My mum and dad – my whole family in fact – were a bit gutted. I managed to tell my mum in a quick call just minutes before, but no one else.”

In the past, Katie has taken nasty digs at Alex. During her time on Loose Women, she quipped that actor Eddie Redmayne’s role in The Danish Girl, where he played Lili Elbe, one of the first people to go through a surgical sex change, reminded her of Alex. While on This Morning, Katie was showed tweets she had wrote about her ex.

It read: “Wish Alex Reid would stop selling stories about me! I’m sure if people saw pic and vid clips of him as roxanne its enough to turn anyone off.” She said on the show: “Yeah, it’s about pictures and videos that I’ve got of him. If he carries on I’m sure he wouldn’t like people to see the video and pictures I’ve got of him… that was a little hint.”

The former cage fighter told the Mirror this year that Katie’s “addiction to the press and media” is “so bad she will put anything out as long as her name is in the news”, adding: “At the total disregard of the consequences for anybody else.” He continued: “I’m down as the shortest marriage to Katie, which is really positive as I managed to get out and escape.

“Unfortunately I didn’t escape the years of abuse from my bitter ex. I walked away for years, but the continued abuse has been so much, I made a stand, for not only me but my family and friends.” In response to the claims, a representative of Katie’s said: “Let him get on with it… Kate won’t be responding to any stories put forward by Alex or his team. It’s old news and it’s boring now.”

In 2019, he won the right to claim up to £250,000 from his ex after suing her for “distributing private information – some of it of a sexual nature” after she allegedly showed a 40-strong TV audience an explicit clip of him off camera. Price was accused of playing a sexually explicit video of Alex to a live audience at Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side while the cameras weren’t rolling.

Price was first declared bankrupt in 2019 and was then made bankrupt a second time in March this year over a tax debt worth more than £750,000. The 46-year-old was arrested at Heathrow Airport earlier this month after a judge issued an arrest warrant for failing to attend a previous court date. She appeared at court the next day and was told she must attend Tuesday’s hearing with “no ifs, no buts” or face arrest again.

Under a separate court order, Price must pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans and a host of other companies to the trustee of her bankruptcies until February 2027 as part of her efforts to pay off her debts. She has also had her income from TikTok suspended as part of the dispute and has previously been ordered to deliver six of her vehicles to the trustee to help pay off money owed, including a pink Range Rover
