Coleen Rooney appeared downcast as she stepped out for a Pilates class in Cheshire on Monday morning,
just hours after returning to the UK from a luxurious family vacation in Dubai.
The 38-year-old WAG opted for a sporty look, donning black leggings, white trainers, and a black padded coat as she made her way into the gym.
Carrying a large blue water bottle and her phone, Coleen kept her look casual, styling her long brunette hair in a low ponytail and going makeup-free for the outing.
The sighting comes after Coleen and her husband, Wayne Rooney, 39, flew back home with their four sons—Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, 9, and Cass, 6—as well as her parents,
Colette and Tony. The family had spent time in Dubai, where Wayne was spotted coaching at an exclusive football camp, reportedly costing £8,000.
Coleen Returns to Routine Amid Wayne’s Career Uncertainty
While the Dubai trip offered the family some time in the sun, it seems Coleen has quickly settled back into her usual routine. As Wayne adjusts to his current career break following his departure as Plymouth Argyle’s manager, Coleen has been managing the household and maintaining her fitness regimen.
Recently, Coleen shared that Wayne had taken on more responsibility at home, particularly when it came to the school run. Speaking about the change, she revealed:
“It’s great now that Wayne’s back home as well, so we are sharing [the school run]. So I’ve been able to either, y’know, Wayne will do the school run, and I’ll get an early gym session in.”
Despite Wayne’s new role in the family’s daily routine, Coleen has admitted in the past that getting him involved in household chores remains a challenge.
Wayne Rooney’s Next Career Move?
With his managerial role at Plymouth Argyle behind him, speculation continues about Wayne Rooney’s next step in his career. Reports suggest he is in discussions to join the BBC’s Match of the Day as a pundit for the upcoming football season. The legendary England striker could earn up to £200,000 annually as a rotating guest analyst on the show, which will feature Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman, and Gabby Logan as hosts from August onwards.
While Wayne is considering a career in punditry, he has also made it clear that he hopes to return to football management when the right opportunity arises. Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, he shared his thoughts on his managerial aspirations:
“I would like to go back in [to management]. But it would have to be the right club. I’m not in a massive rush to go back in. There’s different things that I’m looking at to try and get involved with… unless something was absolutely the right thing to do.”
Reflecting on his past experiences, Wayne acknowledged the challenges he has faced as a manager, noting that working with higher-quality players could make a significant difference.
“Every club I’ve been at, I’ve put myself in a really challenging situation. I’ve had some great experiences, good ones, bad ones (and) you’ve always got that to fall back on,” he explained.
He also expressed openness to alternative roles in football, saying:
“I’d have no problem dropping into an Under-21 team or going in as a coach… I’m still young enough to learn and develop. Just having a good group of players who were at a [good] level.”
Coleen’s Low-Key Outing After Sunny Getaway
Although Coleen and her family enjoyed a lavish break in Dubai, her return to the UK seemed to bring a shift in mood. During her morning Pilates session, she was seen chatting on her phone while walking through the streets of Cheshire, appearing less than thrilled to be back in the colder climate.
Dressed in her gym attire, Coleen showcased her svelte figure, reinforcing her commitment to fitness despite the recent indulgences of her holiday. The contrast between the luxury of Dubai and the more mundane aspects of daily life in the UK seemed evident as she resumed her usual routine.
Wayne and Coleen’s Future Plans
While Wayne remains uncertain about his next career move, Coleen continues to juggle her personal and family life, ensuring that everything runs smoothly at home. As Wayne explores opportunities in punditry and football management, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the couple.
For now, Coleen appears focused on maintaining her health and fitness while balancing her responsibilities at home. Whether Wayne will return to the dugout or transition into a media career remains uncertain, but one thing is clear—both he and Coleen are adapting to a new phase in their lives following his latest career setback.
