Hollywood actor Ben Affleck is said to have dealt his wife Jennifer Lopez a ‘cruel blow’ on her 55th birthday as he purchased his new ‘bachelor pad’ in Los Angeles

Ben Affleck splashed his cash on wife Jennifer Lopez’s birthday as she celebrated without him.

The actor, 51, closed the deal on his new $20.5 million home in Pacific Palisades, dubbed a ‘bachelor pad’, on the singer’s big day. 

JLo also finalised the sale of her four-bedroom New York City penthouse on the same day for a staggering $23 million, according to reports. 

Ben’s new home purchase comes after the couple publicly listed their shared Beverly Hills mansion for a whopping $68 million.

The pair have not been seen together in months and have faced ongoing split rumours. It has been claimed Ben’s new purchase has been a “stab in the heart” for JLo. The impressive home boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, dining and breakfast areas, den, media room and a guest house.

Ben and Jennifer recently spent their second wedding anniversary apart and face reports they are living in separate homes. Jennifer is said to have stayed in their marital home, while Ben has been living in a $100,000 a month rental. The singer turned 55 last week and gave fans a look at her celebrations as she partied in her lavish Hamptons home.

She threw herself a huge Bridgerton style birthday party, yet Ben was nowhere to be seen as he remained in Los Angeles. Other pals in attendance included sister Lynda Lopez, manager Benny Medina, stylist Shawn ‘Beezy’ Barton and personal photographer Ana Carballosa. Jennifer dressed up as Queen Charlotte for the day, looking effortlessly regal.

Ben and Jen rekindled their romance in 2021, 17 years after they called off their first engagement. They have listed their shared Beverly Hills home just a year after purchasing the property, which boasted 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage, room for parking 80 cars, a 5,000 square-foot guest penthouse, caretaker house and a two-bedroom guard house as well as a pool and an indoor sports complex. J-Lo is said to have been “horrified” after discovering Ben had reportedly cleared out his belongings. Adding fuel to the fire earlier this month, Batman star Ben looked annoyed with his wife’s decision to spend their anniversary without him.

He was snapped by photographers in L.A and looked extremely miffed while the Hustlers star was seen on the other side of the country, cycling, with a huge grin on her face. However, JLo appeared to give a sign that all is not lost between the couple. She seemingly left a clear sign that she still sees a future with her Hollywood actor hubby with a snap on her social media.

In one of the posts, a framed photo of her big wedding day was clearly visible on her cabinet as vocal coach Stevie Mackey wished her happy birthday while sitting on a sofa. There were a number of other images of Ben and Jen too spotted dotted around the property, showing she hasn’t removed the happy memories despite split speculation.
