Behind the Laughter: Elle King’s Shocking Claims of Childhood Trauma and Her Public Clash with Rob Schneider’s Controversial Views

Elle King claimed her dad, actor Rob Schneider, sent her to a “fat camp” when she was a child.

“I was, like, a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp,” she revealed in a teaser clip of Bunnie Xo’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast.

“And then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and I didn’t lose any weight. Very toxic and very silly.”

The “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer, 35, then spoke about her strained relationship with the “Deuce Bigalow:

Male Gigolo” actor, 60, saying she stopped talking to him for “four or five years” due to his opinions on social issues.

“I disagree with a lot of the things that he says. You’re talking out of your ass and you’re talking s–t about drag and, you know, anti-gay rights and it’s like get f–ked,” she said.

“He’s just talking out of his ass and I want to use this opportunity to say that I disagree. I do not agree with what he says.”

A rep for Schneider declined to comment to Page Six.

In June, we exclusively reported that Schneider claimed cancel culture was “over” after he was booed for his offensive jokes during an earlier gig.

On June 1, the “Hot Chick” star was booed during his comedy set at a hospital fundraiser in Canada for his alleged “transphobic, misogynistic and anti-vax” jokes.

“Everyone in the room was groaning, saying, ‘What is going on?’ Like, whispering to themselves,” guest Tynan Allan told the CBC at the time.

“Not a single laugh at times. It was just very apparent how uncomfortable everyone felt and how unacceptable the things he was talking about were,” Allan added.

The hospital later issued a statement condemning Schneider’s jokes.

“While we recognize that in a free and democratic society, individuals are entitled to their views and opinions and that comedy is intended to be edgy, the content, positions and opinions expressed during Mr. Schneider’s set do not align with the values of our foundation and team,” the Hospitals of Regina Foundation said.

“We do not condone, accept, endorse or share Mr. Schneider’s positions, as expressed during his comedy set, and acknowledge that in this instance the performance did not meet the expectations of our audience and our team.”

Schneider has been criticized for his political views on several occasions in the past.

In July 2021, the comedian called COVID-19 vaccines “experimental gene therapy.”

“Just say no… And keep saying no,” he tweeted at the time. “Over Half of the US population is continuing to say no to this unapproved experimental gene therapy!”

And this past April, Schneider’s comedy set at a GOP event was reportedly cut short due to his offensive jokes.

However, the former “Saturday Night Live” star hit back at the claims, insisting he performed his full 50-minute session

“I’m not changing my material or apologizing for my jokes to anybody. Enough with this woke bulls–t, America’s sick of it,” he told TMZ at the time.

“I did 50 minutes because that’s what I was paid to do. Nobody removed me from stage, somebody waved to me at the 50 minute mark.”
