Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Daughter Shiloh Admits She Was Abused by Her Alcoholic and Dr^g-Using Father During Childhood, Decides to Remove His Name from Hers

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh’s attorney has made a new statement about her ‘significant decision’ to drop her father’s last name.

The 18-year-old — who is one of the former couple’s six kids — filed for the name change on her birthday this year, May 27. It was publicly announced with a legal notice in the Los Angeles Times.

Regarding the public name change, Shiloh’s lawyer, Peter Levine, stated that she made an independent decision after painful events and was following the legal process when sharing this information.

‘Shiloh Jolie did not take out an “ad” announcing any name change, and any press reporting that is inaccurate,’ Levine clarified, per People.

‘As Shiloh’s attorney, I am obligated to publish a legal notice as required by California law for anyone seeking a name change. This notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as mandated.

In addition to Shiloh, the exes share sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, daughter Zahara, 19, and fraternal twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.

Zahara and Vivienne have also dropped Pitt from their monikers, though it’s unclear if Vivienne has made the change legally.

Pitt has ‘virtually no contact’ with his older children according to a recent report.

One month after Shiloh filed to drop his last name, a source revealed to People that Pitt’s relationship with his older kids remains strained.

‘He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule,’ the insider shared.

Angelina filed for divorce from the actor in 2019 after five years of marriage.

The union ended on a contentious note and their children appear to have taken sides.

The two filmmakers have been locked in a bitter battle over their French vineyard and home after the Tomb Raider star sold her $64 million stake to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler in 2021.

They later entered into an acrimonious back-and-forth over NDA’s, which have become a key point in their fight.

Jolie is now asking Pitt to ‘end the fighting’ and drop the lawsuit against her to allow their family to ‘heal.’

But sources told DailyMail.com that the Fight Club star ‘has no intention’ of dropping it, alleging that Jolie only made the plea after realizing that she does not have as strong a case as she previously thought.

‘Brad is not going to drop this lawsuit – why would he? This was a very standard business dispute but unfortunately, Angelina has consistently introduced personal elements that are meant for a divorce court,’ a person close to the situation revealed.

Shiloh’s decision to drop her father’s last name has certainly made headlines and sparked discussions about family dynamics and relationships. It’s clear that the 18-year-old has thought carefully about this significant step, as indicated by her attorney Peter Levine’s statement emphasizing Shiloh’s independent decision-making process. The legal notice in the Los Angeles Times was a necessary step in the name change process, following California law.The fact that Shiloh’s siblings Zahara and Vivienne have also chosen to drop Pitt from their names adds another layer to the family dynamic. While it’s uncertain if Vivienne has legally changed her name, it’s clear that the children are asserting their individual identities in various ways. The strained relationship between Brad Pitt and his older children adds a sad dimension to the situation, with reports indicating limited contact between them. The divorce between Angelina Jolie and Pitt has clearly had a significant impact on their family, with the children caught in the middle. The ongoing legal battles between Jolie and Pitt over their assets and the NDA issue further highlight the complexities of their relationship post-divorce. Jolie’s plea for Pitt to end the fighting and drop the lawsuit reflects a desire for healing and moving forward, but it seems that Pitt is intent on seeing the legal proceedings through. It’s evident that there are deep-rooted issues at play and that both parties have their own perspectives on the situation. As outsiders looking in, it’s important to consider the impact of the public spotlight on the family and to approach discussions with sensitivity and empathy. In the midst of all the drama, it’s crucial to remember that at the heart of this story are real people with real emotions and experiences. Let’s hope that the Jolie-Pitt family can find a resolution that allows them to move forward in a positive and healthy way. Stay tuned for more updates on this complex and evolving story.
