KATIE Price’s ex-fiancé Carl Woods is ready to fight back if negative claims are made about him in her bombshell new memoir.
The car salesman’s on/off relationship with Katie, 46, finally came to an end late last year after a tumultuous 2023.
Next week Katie, 46, will release her latest book titled This Is Me: The high life. The dark times.
Marketing it as “the true story behind the headlines” the book will touch on all aspects of her life from relationships and addiction to mental health, family and childhood.
Outspoken Katie has taken swipes at ex-husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler in the past, and Carl is anticipating it will be his turn to feel her wrath in the book.
A source said: “If Katie drags Carl’s name through the mud he’s ready to do what he needs to, to set the record straight. He won’t stand for Katie putting out a warped view of their time together and is vowing to undo any claims and expose secrets from their relationship if that should happen.
“Katie shouldn’t underestimate him. Carl insists he has all the evidence he needs to rubbish any negative claims. He’s remained quiet since their split and is happy to leave Katie alone, but he is determined not to become the latest ex to be pulled apart in a book.
“After all, people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”
Katie and Carl first got together in the summer of 2020 and were engaged 10 months later.
Over the course of their relationship there were matching tattoos, exotic holidays and plans for marriage and children.
But Katie’s erratic behaviour and a series of rows eventually put an end to their time together.
Mum-of-five Katie, who is now in a relationship with Married At First Sight’s JJ Slater, insists people will view her differently after the book is released on July 18.
Relationship drama aside, she was recently evicted from her Mucky Mansion over an unpaid £760k tax bill and, prior to that, was spared jail after crashing her £63,000 Range Rover on a country road while under the influence of drink and drugs.
She said: “I don’t know how I came through it, but I did, because I knew if I didn’t change things myself and mentally, I wouldn’t be here.
“I think people just need to give me a break and get to know me.
“I don’t deserve a lot of things that people say. I think once people read the book, then they’ll judge me differently.”
Carl Woods is gearing up to defend himself against any negative claims that may be made about him in Katie Price’s upcoming memoir. The former couple had a tumultuous relationship that ended in late 2023, and now Katie is set to release her new book “This Is Me: The high life. The dark times.”
Described as “the true story behind the headlines,” the book will cover various aspects of Katie’s life including relationships, addiction, mental health, family, and childhood. It’s no secret that Katie has publicly criticized her ex-husbands in the past, and Carl is prepared for the possibility that he may be the target of her words this time around.
A source close to Carl mentioned, “If Katie tarnishes Carl’s name in any way, he is prepared to defend himself and correct any false claims. He has the evidence to refute any negative statements and is determined to set the record straight. Carl has chosen to stay quiet since their breakup, but he will not tolerate being portrayed unfairly in Katie’s memoir.”
Despite their matching tattoos, dream of marriage, and plans for children, the couple’s relationship came to an end due to Katie’s erratic behavior and frequent arguments. Now, Katie has moved on and is dating Married At First Sight’s JJ Slater.
In addition to her personal life drama, Katie has faced financial struggles and legal issues in recent years. Despite it all, she remains optimistic and hopes that readers of her book will see her in a new light. Katie has expressed that she believes people will have a different opinion of her after reading her memoir.
