According to a royal author, Kensington Palace has a “serious concern that Beatrice and Eugenie are becoming increasingly close to Harry and Meghan”.
Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have long been close to their cousin Prince Harry.
The two Princesses have even continued their strong bond with the Duke after his controversial exit from the Royal Family in 2020.
And now it has been claimed that there is a “serious concern” that the two Princesses are getting even closer to the Sussexes.
Prince Harry believes that his two cousins can “sympathise” with him the most given his current situation and estrangement from his father and brother, according to a royal expert.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, royal author and expert Tom Quinn said: “There is serious concern at Kensington Palace that Prince Andrew‘s daughters Beatrice
and Eugenie are becoming increasingly close to Harry and Meghan. Beatrice and Eugenie are moving across to what one Kensington Palace official described as ‘the dark side’.”
Kensington Palace is the home of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Princess Catherine. It has long been rumoured and speculated that the Sussexes are estranged from the Waleses following their departure from the Royal Family.
Not only this but when Prince Harry flew to London last month and announced he would not be meeting his father due to conflicting schedules, he completely snubbed his brother by not mentioning him in the statement.
Mr Quinn went on to add: “Still furious that their disgraced father Prince Andrew has not been rehabilitated, Beatrice and Eugenie feel like outcasts, their sense of abandonment made worse by King Charles’ refusal to allow them to be part of the inner group of working royals.”
And with Harry feeling as though the relations with his father and brother have “broken down completely”, he feels that his two cousins, the Princesses, are “sympathetic” to his position. Mr Quinn said: “With the complete breakdown of relations with his father and brother, Harry feels that Beatrice and Eugenie are among the very few members of the family who are sympathetic to the position he finds himself in. He has always been fond of his cousins, but they are now more important to him than they have ever been.”
This comes almost four years after Harry and his wife Meghan Markle moved from Windsor in England to California in America. The Sussexes upped sticks and moved across the pond in the summer of 2020 and haven’t looked back since. Their move came a few months after they announced they were stepped down from their duties as senior working royals.
It seems that Prince Harry’s cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are drawing closer to him and Meghan Markle, causing concern at Kensington Palace. The bond between the Sussexes and the two Princesses has reportedly deepened, with Harry feeling that Beatrice and Eugenie can sympathize with his situation the most.
According to royal expert Tom Quinn, there is worry at Kensington Palace that the two Princesses are aligning themselves with Harry and Meghan, moving towards what one official described as ‘the dark side’. This concern may stem from the ongoing rift between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family, particularly the Waleses.
Despite their closeness to Prince Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly feel like outcasts due to their disgraced father, Prince Andrew, not being rehabilitated. This sense of abandonment is compounded by King Charles’ reluctance to include them in the inner circle of working royals.
Harry, who has experienced a breakdown in relations with his father and brother, sees his cousins as a source of support and understanding. With his move to California alongside Meghan in 2020, the Sussexes have been forging their own path away from the traditional royal duties.
As Harry navigates his new life in America, his bond with Beatrice and Eugenie seems to have strengthened, providing him with a sense of connection amidst the family turmoil. It will be interesting to see how these relationships continue to evolve in the future.
