It came after she fronted Good Morning Britain with former This Morning anchor Richard, 68, all week.
Fans had previously been concerned the telly stalwart was set to leave the programme altogether after he spoke out about his recent illness.
Their fears escalated when he was absent this summer, with Kate Garraway telling viewers he was “poorly” as she explained his no-show.
He will now be replaced with an ITV fan-favourite for Thursday’s episode.
Susanna and Richard had been discussing her interview with Prime Minister Keir Starmer with panelists Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire.
Yet as Good Morning Britain’s credits began to play out she revealed the show change and said: “GMB is back tomorrow.
“Martin Lewis is joining me from 6am.”
She then told viewers he will be discussing everything from the energy price cap and the rising cost of bills, as well as the winter fuel payment being scrapped for millions.
Previously, Martin, 52, has issued a major warning to pensioners over the change.
The MoneySavingExpert (MSE) founder has urged households to check if they could be entitled to Pension Credit and unlock the winter fuel payment.
Meanwhile, another presenter change up is on the cards for GMB this week.
Adil Ray, 50, revealed he will be returning to the presenter hot seat on Friday alongside show anchor Kate Garraway.
He uploaded a snap showing him on the early morning show sofa with Kate, 57, as well as newsreader Charlotte Hawkins, 49, entertainment reporter Richard Arnold, 54, and weather presenter Laura Tobin, 42.

In his caption, he wrote: “Great figures for Friday’s @gmb thank you all for watching as we paid tribute to 30 years of Friends.”
Referring to his posture in the snap he continued: “Not sure why I’m manspreading. @CharlotteHawkns told me to do it.
“See you this Friday with @kategarraway.”
