‘Tell-tale’ signs reveal there’s ‘no going back’ for Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury according to relationship experts Tre Lowe – who was also a finalist on The Apprentice – and his wife Enas Daeki.
Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 25, announced earlier this month that they have separated. The former couple had got engaged and welcomed their daughter Bambi, now one, in the five years since they met on Love Island back in 2019.
Tre, who starred on this year’s instalment of the hit BBC show, and his relationship coach wife Enas have shared their thoughts on why Molly-Mae ‘won’t take him back’ after his alleged ‘cheating’ scandal – brutally branding their romance ‘dead, dead, dead’.
The celebrity couple counsellors – dubbed ‘Trenas’ – have outlined ‘cracks’ that were there in the run up to the Love Island pair calling it quits.
Enas told The Mirror: “She’s fed up. I don’t reckon they will rekindle their relationship, it’s dead, dead, dead.” Tre said: “I agree. Unless something fundamental changes, I don’t see them getting back together.”
Giving his opinion on what went wrong, Tre said: “They defy traditional gender roles. When you look at Tommy’s older brother, the man’s the breadwinner and the woman is at home. For Molly-Mae, I think it’s harder for Tommy as she is a strong, assertive woman and doesn’t necessarily need him financially. I wonder whether that has a bearing on whether he feels ‘what’s my place here?’
“Plus when you watch them, she looks a little fed up with him. She looks quite short and irritated by him.” Tre explained: “I worry a bit for Tommy because I think he might not find a woman like her. He might go down the road of nightclubs, partying. I know for most men it’s not the most fulfilling path to go on. He’s young and he’s got talent, he will be better off focusing on his talent.”
Meanwhile Molly-Mae has thanked fans for their support in a new post following her split from Tommy Fury, as she enjoys some time away at a lakeside retreat.
Molly-Mae and Tommy announced earlier this month that they have separated. The news came just weeks after their fifth anniversary and it was teased that they were looking for a wedding venue just months ago. Amid speculation about the break-up, a spokesperson for Tommy has denied that he cheated.
Returning to Instagram this week following the news, Molly-Mae shared a photo of herself at an undisclosed location on Tuesday. It showed her stood on a terrace overlooking a lake, with the scenery on display in the background. Molly-Mae was seen wearing a white co-ord set in the new photo.
She took the opportunity to express gratitude towards her followers on the platform for their support in the caption. Molly-Mae wrote alongside the post: “Thank you for being the best online friends I could’ve ever wished for.”
The post has been liked by her pal Maura Higgins, fellow former islander Jessy Potts and This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes among other celebrities. Maura also took the comments section with a message for Molly-Mae, who she met on Love Island, writing beside a white heart emoji: “LOVE & ADORE YOU.” Fans also reacted with well wishes and supportive messages.
Confirming their split, Molly-Mae wrote earlier this month: “Never in a million years did I ever think I’d have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.”
She continued: “I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end. I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
“I just want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks, please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I’ll be back when it feels right.”
In his own statement, Tommy said: “I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship. The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority. Please respect our privacy, and our families’ privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.”
