LeAnn Rimes was left horrified by the traditional Scottish breakfast foods that were brought out to her on This Morning, as she gagged on Bovril.
LeAnn Rimes was left reeling in disgust on ITV’s This Morning, confessing: “I don’t think I can do this,” during a live tasting segment.
The country music star joined Rochelle Humes and Joel Dommett on the couch to partake in her ‘Rimes Rates’ feature, where she samples local delicacies from her tour locations. The day’s fare included a “very dry” Scotch egg, Bovril, a Tunnock’s teacake, and pork scratchings.
The segment hit a rocky start as Joel had to pass LeAnn water when she nearly choked on the parched egg. However, it was the Bovril that truly tested her limits, causing her to gag and repeat: “I don’t think I can do this,” after merely sniffing the beefy brew.
Upon braving a taste, she remarked: “It’s like watered down beef,” before hastily setting aside the mug. Pork scratchings fared no better, earning a dismal one out of 10 from the singer.
Desperate for relief, LeAnn pleaded: “Give me a chip or something sweet! ” She was then presented with a teacake, which Rochelle hailed as a “Scottish classic”. Joel quipped that nothing pairs with Bovril quite like it, reports the Mirror.
LeAnn gave her verdict on the teacake: “Yeah, we got pork, and egg, beef and then some sweets… Mmm. I’m gonna give this a seven.”
She expressed her fondness for the “cookie bit in the bottom” and acknowledged that the show was ending on a high note.

Reflecting on the experience, Rochelle conceded: “I think we’ve blown our first time meeting LeAnn Rimes.”
She interjected with a clarification: “We should point out, you wouldn’t normally do it in this order! ” as LeAnn remarked: “I was going to say, that was quite the mix of things.”
Viewers tuning into X were left scratching their heads over the segment, with one commenting: “NTA winning TV: LeAnn Rimes drinking a cup of Bovril.”
