TV frontman Eamonn Holmes has addressed the concern about his absence from his usual presenting role on his breakfast show.
Eamonn Holmes has responded to concerns regarding his absence from his regular spot on GB News Breakfast.
Viewers of the morning show are accustomed to waking up with Eamonn and Isabel Webster during the week.
However, on August 19, it was Nana Akua who stepped in for Eamonn, while he enjoyed some well-deserved time off from his presenting duties.
The duo still had plenty to cover on the morning show, with topics ranging from the latest on winter fuel payments to developments from the Democratic National Convention in the United States, Prince Andrew losing his security team, and much more.
Despite this, Eamonn’s absence sparked concern as people speculated over his replacement on the show. Eamonn spotted the worry and was quick to put a stop to any concerns.
Not one to let misinformation stand, Eamonn took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to set the record straight and clarify the situation for his followers.
He cheekily mocked the concern from the public, making a dig that people were “unfamiliar with the concept of Summer Holidays,” before adding: “See u next week!” With his light-hearted response, the GB News host reassured his 1.1 million followers that he would be back on air soon.
Fans were quick to support Eamonn and wish him well during his break, with GB News regular Dawn Neesom chiming in.
Using an eye-rolling emoji in response to the article, Dawn added, “Have a lovely time,” along with a sunglasses-wearing emoji. Eamonn is expected to return to his Breakfast role alongside Isabel Webster soon, with Isabel continuing to helm the show in his absence.
Eamonn recently split from his wife, fellow presenter Ruth Langsford. Eamonn and Ruth are known for their long-running on-screen partnership, having presented ITV’s This Morning together between 2006 and 2021.
As Eamonn enjoys his break, viewers can look forward to his return to GB News Breakfast soon, where he will once again join Isabel to cover the latest headlines and deliver the news with his trademark charm and wit.
