Jake Paul has taken a dig at ‘single father’ Tommy Fury after his split with Molly-Mae Hague.
The former couple met in 2019 on hit ITV reality show Love Island, before shacking up in Manchester together.
Four years later, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Bambi to the world, and got engaged.
But last week, Hague and Fury announced they had broken up.
Paul, who has never been afraid to voice his opinions, was uncharacteristically quiet on the whole situation.
That was until a media scrum in Washington DC that talkSPORT.com attended, where Paul gave his first public reaction.
“I don’t want to dive into someone’s personal life like that but I hope they’re figuring it out and they figure it out with the kids and everything but I’m still going to beat his a** as a single father,” he said.
Paul suffered the first and only defeat of his professional career to Fury in February 2023 and has been campaigning for a rematch ever since.
According to Paul, Fury was offered a money-spinning offer to box him this summer on Netflix but ‘TNT’ turned it down, resulting in Mike Tyson getting the call.
Asked if Fury has ‘devalued’ himself in future negotiations, Paul replied: “He definitely continues to devalue himself over time, saying no to the Netflix opportunity was probably the dumbest thing a boxer in history has done.
“Like you literally turned down the biggest platform and now he’s got caught cheating and got divorced and now he is a single father.”
This comes after Hague released the bombshell announcement on her Instagram story last week: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
“After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy‘s relationship has come to an end.
“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter.
“Without us, there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.
“You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.
“Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right.”
Fury, the younger brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson, also shared a statement via Instagram, reading: “I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.
“The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will forever be thankful to Molly for making me a dad.
“Bambi is our priority. Please respect our privacy, and our families’ privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.”
