DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles was announced as one of the last contestants on Monday to join Strictly Come Dancing 2024.
Strictly star Nick Knowles has stunned fans after he revealed his incredible weight loss.
The DIY SOS presenter will be taking to the dance floor next month alongside a number of other celebrities in the hope of winning the Glitterball trophy.
Nick has spoken up about how much training he’s done in preparation for the show, which has resulted in him losing weight.
A fan typed on X: “Also got a book running with everyone on how much weight youll lose doing strictly…. Ive got a score on 3.5 stone…”
Replying to the tweet, Nick shared with his 170,000 fans: “Well I’ve been in training in the gym and on a strict diet and have lost 7kilos already.”
Nick confessed he was the “least talented” member of his family, as his siblings have industry experience. The 61-year old was also p rematurely revealed when they were spotted at rehearsals.
When quizzed about the prospect of making it to Blackpool, he declared he was “going to go for it,” humorously adding that he hoped he “wouldn’t roll another ankle.”
On joining the contest, he said: “I’m so, so excited to be doing Strictly this year. People may be more used to me getting stuck in on a building site or travelling the world, but dancing live on TV will be a whole new adventure. I’ve spent my whole life learning new skills and I’ve never been afraid of a challenge there’s life in the old dog yet to take on one more big one being taught how to dance! I’ll give it my everything … and try not to embarrass my kids of course.”
Amidst preparations, Nick and Paul were spotted at rehearsals alongside Chris McCausland, Sarah Hadland, and Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri.
Attempts by the duo to remain incognito were evident as they scurried through a side door. Additionally, confirmed for the stellar line-up by the BBC are EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick, The Only Way Is Essex’s Pete Wicks, and Corrie and The X Factor star Shayne Ward.
Morning Live’s Dr Punam Krishan, iconic singer Toyah Willcox, the recognisable face of Go Compare ads Wynne Evans, Olympic swimmer Tom Dean and JLS heartthrob JB Gill are all set to dazzle on the show, joined by Gladiator and Olympian Montell Douglas, better known as Fire.
