Speculation is growing that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, may be considering writing an explosive tell-all memoir.
The book could offer an inside look at her experiences when she came into the royal family and shed light on the tensions.
And challenges she has faced since stepping away with her husband, Prince Harry.
It comes after the couple was excluded from the yearly royal family gathering at Balmoral for a second time.
According to reports, this snub may be why Meghan Markle is set to lay it all out in a bombshell memoir of her own.
Since Harry’s record-breaking memoir “Spare” debuted in 2023, rumors have abounded about whether his wife, Meghan, also plans to pen her own tell-all.
In previous interviews and a documentary, the former actress had already shared insights into her time as a senior royal, either alongside her husband or on her own.
It is now believed that the duchess may be planning to reveal even more never-before-heard details in a book, as sources close to her friends have claimed that discussions about moving forward with such a memoir are underway.
“The talk among their friends is that it’s time to take the gloves off and do away with the diplomacy,” an insider informed Closer!
According to the source, there is “so much demand for Meghan to speak out,” hinting that the book is likely to be a top seller if the mother of two decides to pen it.
They added, “She has the potential to make an absolute fortune and clear up a lot of questions.”
The rumors follow the recent snubbing of the Sussexes from the Royal Family’s annual summer gathering at Balmoral.
Last year, Harry and Meghan were also sidelined from the family tradition amid a yet-to-be-resolved feud with the senior royals.
Although neither the Sussexes nor Buckingham Palace have confirmed whether an invitation was sent out, they aren’t expected to make an appearance.
All other senior royals are likely to have been given invites to the location where they will recline from the public eye and engage in outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.
According to the source, Meghan and her husband aren’t “exactly shocked” about the snub “considering they’re not even on speaking terms at this point.”
However, the couple still consider it “a personal attack designed to hurt and embarrass them.”
Now, Meghan is said to believe that the best way to respond to the “personal attack” is to share her own side of the story in a memoir.
The source shared, “It’s not just about pride or hurt feelings, there are very ugly repercussions for them when this constant narrative that they’re family outcasts keeps getting fed.
They added, “They’re now being forced to figure out a strategy to fight back, and one option on the table is to go all-out with a big tell-all from Meghan where she completely lays out her side of the story.”
If there’s any doubt that Meghan has much to share, she dispelled it herself in a recent CBS interview, where she revisited the suicidal thoughts she experienced under the pressures of royal life.
She first opened up about these feelings during her 2021 interview with Oprah.
Meghan told her interviewer, Jane Pauley, “I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience, but I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way, and I would never want someone else to be making those sorts of plans, and I would never want someone else to not be believed.”
When Meghan does move ahead with writing the book, it may be published by Penguin Random House, with whom the Sussexes signed a four-book deal in 2021. The company also published Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”
The former actress may hire a ghostwriter like her husband did for his own tell-all. However, the timing of when such a book would be released remains unclear, as Meghan has yet to make any announcement about it.
There is already speculation that a new book from Meghan or another from Harry could further escalate their ongoing feud with the Palace.
“Another tell-all would cause so much trouble; this feud would go nuclear. No doubt the time will come down the line that they publicly address all of this,” a source shared with Closer!
