Chris McCausland was back on screens with the latest episode of his ITV chat show, which saw him joined by actress Taj Atwal and comedian Eshaan Akbar
Comedian Chris McCausland faced a tense moment on his ITV chat show when he thought he had been misinformed about guest Taj Atwal’s acting credits.
The beloved 47-year-old host returned to the small screen with the latest instalment of The Chris McCausland Show on Saturday (August 10), alongside “One Day” actress Taj Atwal and comedian Eshaan Akbar.
In the middle of their conversation, Chris brought up Taj’s supposed Hollywood history, saying she had acted in two big-screen blockbusters which visibly baffled the star from Netflix.
Spotting the mix-up, Chris addressed it directly: “You went for Hull to Hollywood, you were in two films.” To which, after a brief, uneasy silence, Taj responded, “Two films? Yes, I was in two films.”, reports the Mirror.
With humour, Chris then openly questioned if he’d been misled:”Was I given wrong information?”. Fortunately, Taj eased his concerns by confirming her film appearances, albeit jokingly admitting the momentary lapse in her memory: “I definitely was in two films but I couldn’t even remember then.”

Chris’s pre-recorded programme aired shortly after his groundbreaking news that he’ll join Strictly Come Dancing as its first-ever blind celebrity, mirroring Rose Ayling-Ellis’s role as the first deaf participant who clinched the glitterball trophy back in 2021.
His upcoming dance floor endeavour was unveiled on ITV’s This Morning, where the comic enthused to hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle: “This is literally the worst kept secret there has ever been in British television. I think it’s been out there, it’s been exhausting keeping a secret everyone seems to know.”
When asked about his feelings on participating, he confessed: “Apprehensive, massively apprehensive. I don’t know what I’m getting myself into, I’ve never watched it, obviously. It’s just some music. I don’t dance, I have never danced. I grew up with headbanging and mosh pits.”
