Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were brutally savaged by a royal commentator who claimed their latest interview showed a total “lack of concern” for the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared on CBS’s Sunday Morning, where they announced their new project – The Parents Network
– which aims to tackle child safety online and connect families who have lost their children to suicide due to a lack of safeguarding online.
During the interview, Meghan revealed she “only scratched the surface” of speaking about her mental health in her now-infamous interview
with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and added she hopes “being open” about her own suicidal thoughts and “online bullying” can “save others”.
Now royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said that Meghan’s comment “only scratching the surface” is a “veiled threat” to the Royal Family
and blasted the couple over their latest appearance as they showed a lack of “awareness and concern” for the mental health of their own family members, especially the Princess of Wales’s.
She told TalkTV: “[The line that Meghan’s only scratched the surface] sounds like a veiled threat to the Royal Family about what she could say going forward about her time [in the Firm]. I think Harry and Meghan not only lack credibility in this particular topic, I think they lack self-awareness. Where is their concern for the family’s mental health? Catherine’s? When Omid Scobie [targeted her in his book Endgame]?”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to make headlines with their latest interview, this time discussing their new initiative, The Parents Network. This project is aimed at addressing child safety online and supporting families who have tragically lost children to suicide due to online dangers. Meghan opened up about her struggles with mental health, hinting that there is more to come from her previous interview with Oprah Winfrey. However, commentator Kinsey Schofield has criticized the couple for what she perceives as a lack of concern for the Royal Family’s well-being, especially that of the Princess of Wales. She believes that Meghan’s statement about only scratching the surface is a veiled threat to the Royals, indicating that there may be more revelations to come about her time within the Firm.Schofield’s comments highlight a larger issue of credibility and self-awareness on the part of Harry and Meghan. While they advocate for mental health awareness and support through their initiatives, questions remain about their own family members’ well-being. The lack of mention of Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, in their advocacy efforts raises concerns about where their true priorities lie. The scrutiny faced by other members of the Royal Family, such as Catherine in Omid Scobie’s book Endgame, begs the question of whether Harry and Meghan are truly committed to improving mental health within their own family circle. As we continue to track the developments surrounding Harry and Meghan, it is important to stay informed and critically analyze the information presented to us. The conversation around mental health awareness and support is crucial, but it must be approached with sincerity and genuine concern for all individuals involved.
