Rihanna looked like she was ready to take flight when she unveiled a sizzling winged costume that left little to the imagination during carnival celebrations in her native Barbados.

The 36-year-old songstress put on a majestic display at the Crop Over Carnival with an eye-catching outfit covered in long, colorful feathers fanned out majestically from her fit frame.

She also flashed plenty of flesh with the revealing outfit, which highlighted her prominent bust and trim midriff.

Rihanna’s appearance at the carnival marked her first time since 2019, and after staying away due to the coronavirus pandemic and two pregnancies she decided to make a grand return.

She created a regal appearance with her long, dramatic pheasant feathers, which gave her a particularly wide wingspan.

Her appearance comes just weeks after she joked that she gave up trying to have a six pack this summer.

The mom of two shares two sons Riot Rose, one, and RZA, two, with partner A$AP Rocky. 

In late July, Rihanna cheeky new video to her Instagram on Tuesday, showing off her stylish schoolgirl-inspired outfit and modeling her Fenty x Puma sneakers.

The Diamonds hitmaker, 36, rocked a pleated Miu Miu miniskirt, retailing for $2,250, with a blue button-up shirt tucked in, and playfully flashed her black underwear at one point.

Peeking out from underneath her loosely buttoned shirt was a black lace bra from her Savage X Fenty lingerie brand.

The mom-of-two also joked that she’s given up on trying to have a six pack this summer.

‘Since I clearly won’t be achieving my six pack til next summer, I switched my summer goal to matching my shoes to my panties!’ she captioned the post.

On Monday, Rihanna sported her striking and skimpy Carnival costume.

A tall set of wings were jointed with what looked like jeweled flower petals, and they featured shorter, dagger-like yellow and hot pink feathers.

Rihanna augmented her costume with a second shorter pair of wings that hung closer to her body.

The wings closed inward as they moved toward the ground, which created a faint heart shape to frame the hitmaker.

Closer to the ground, the wings shifted to more voluminous yellow, orange, pink, red and even black feathers.

Rihanna put on nearly as much of a spectacle for anyone standing behind her, as the wings had extra flourishes of vibrant feathers on the back side.

The Bajan beauty was practically busting out of the rest of her costume, which was essentially an opulent, bedazzled monokini.

Large amber-colored stones were layered over gold material, and smaller oval-shaped pink and white stones filled in any open spaces.

The halter look wrapped around Rihanna’s neck and then draped across her breasts while leaving as much space as possible to highlight her cleavage without exposing her.

The connected costume had two rows of stones whipping across her midriff, which culminated in the ultra high-cut bottoms. 

The Work singer sported long, wavy blond locks for the carnival, and she covered them with an opulent crown with tall strands of jewels rising above her like a peacock’s tail feathers. 

Seahorse-like strands of dark stones were arrayed in arcing strands along her legs and thighs, and she completed her costume with a set of open-toe heels.

The footwear elevated the 5ft8in singer’s height, and the shoes featured gold vines decorated with leaves that covered her feet.

In a surprising move, Rihanna was flanked by armed soldiers holding large assault rifles as she stepped out to join the crowds.

The men, who also had on body armor, appeared to be part of Barbados’ military, and they were dressed in dark camouflage uniforms.

They were likely a necessity, though, as Rihanna came face to face with large crowds on the busy streets, and she would never be surrounded by that many people under normal circumstances.

Rihanna’s trip to the celebration back home happened just days after her son Riot Rose celebrated his first birthday on August 1.

The little boy looked adorable in photos his dad, Rihanna’s partner A$AP Rocky, shared to Instagram, though his mom opted to keep her birthday celebrations in the family.

She and Rocky previously celebrated their first son RZA’s birthday in May. 

The We Found Love singer had been friends with the rapper for nearly a decade before they took things to the next level and began dating in 2020.

In 2022, Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with her first child, and she gave birth in May 2022.

Then, in February of 2023, the hitmaker put on a rare solo Super Bowl halftime show during which she revealed she was expecting her second child by revealing her baby bump.
