Former glamour model Katie Price has made a drastic decision over her social media accounts as she gets surgery in Turkey following an arrest warrant being issued
Katie Price has made sure to block out the haters as she made a drastic move on social media.
The former glamour model, 46, has been the subject of cruel trolling over the years but it appears she has finally had enough.
This week, she jetted off to Turkey for a cosmetic procedure and work after an arrest warrant was issued.
Katie failed to attend court on Tuesday, July 30 where she was due to give evidence about her finances before a specialist bankruptcy court in London.
It came after the mum-of-five was declared bankrupt for a second time in March this year.
She was warned she faced arrest if she failed to attend the latest hearing. On Friday, Katie made the decision to block comments on some of her social media accounts. She shared a video of a London apartment she had stayed in before jetting to Turkey for surgery.
The luxury pad reportedly cost £170 per night, yet Katie opted to keep comments off meaning fans were unable to share their opinions on her latest bankruptcy woes. In another post, Katie did allow fans to comment as she showed off her outfit she wore to the airport.
This week, Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said Katie had received “very clear warnings” that she must attend the hearing on Tuesday. A judge at a previous hearing warned the TV personality that she must provide substantial evidence explaining her absence if she didn’t attend the hearing.
After she didn’t turn up, she told fans: “I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders which is all I am trying to do right now.” On Thursday, she was seen preparing to go under the knife for yet another cosmetic procedure.The star wore a hospital gown and covered her hair with a disposable net.
Moments earlier, she was seen with a smile on her face as she arrived at the clinic rocking a white crop top, leopard print sweatpants and a Louis Vuitton bag. The TV personality didn’t have a care in the world as she walked into the clinic waiting room to fill out forms and get her blood pressure checked.
Issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said that Katie had “failed to attend today’s hearing” and had provided no explanation for her absence. She said: “It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Katie’s arrest. She has no real excuse for failing to attend today’s hearing. The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.”
Judge Burton said that an arrest warrant was not issued “lightly” but that Ms Price had offered only “piecemeal co-operation” and failed to provide the “most basic information” in relation to her bankruptcies. Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March due to an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000 owed to HM Revenue & Customs.
