Prince William has asked Prince Harry to stay away from the funeral of Lord Robert Fellowes out of fear that Harry might be targeted by notorious murder gangs: “Harry could turn the funeral into an even bigger tragedy if he shows up. He should know better and stay away!”

Prince Harry will likely be skipping a major family funeral soon as he doesn’t want to escalate the ongoing feud with the Royal Family, his former pal has claimed.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex’s uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, who was the late Princess Diana’s brother-in-law, died last Monday, aged 82, of undisclosed causes.

His funeral plans have not been revealed, however, it is highly unlikely that Harry will attend the family event, according to an ex-friend of his.

They told the Daily Beast: “The death will be a huge blow to the Spencer family.

“In normal times it would be unimaginable that Harry would not be there to support Jane. Of course he would want to be there.

“It will be a huge gathering of the Spencer clan. But these are not normal times and it may well be that everyone feels Harry’s attendance would just create too much drama.

“It will be very sad for him if he can’t make it.”

Lord Fellowes was a British courtier who was Private Secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth from 1990 to 1999.

He was married to Lady Jane Spencer – Diana’s sister – and was a maternal first cousin of Ronald Ferguson, the father of the Duchess of York.

While his relationship with Diana was reportedly not the best, he shared a close bond with both of his nephews and attended their weddings in 2011 and 2018.

However, he did posthumously describe his sister-in-law as an “exceptional and gifted human being”.

After he stepped down as Elizabeth’s Private Secretary in February 1999, he returned to private banking before being created a life peer in July of the same year.

He took the title of Baron Fellowes of Shotesham in the County of Norfolk in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List and sat as a crossbench peer until his retirement in 2022.

Recent reports suggest that Prince Harry may choose to skip a significant family funeral in order to avoid further escalating tensions with the Royal Family. The passing of Lord Robert Fellowes, the uncle of both Prince Charles and Prince Harry, has left the Spencer family devastated. While funeral arrangements have not yet been made public, sources close to Prince Harry believe that he may opt out of attending the event. In normal circumstances, it would be expected for Prince Harry to support his family during such a difficult time. However, the current strained relations within the Royal Family may make his presence at the funeral more complicated. It is speculated that his attendance could potentially create unnecessary drama, which might overshadow the mourning process for the family.Lord Robert Fellowes was known for his significant role as the Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth during the 1990s. Despite any past conflicts with Princess Diana, he maintained close relationships with both his nephews and attended their weddings in the past.
