Zara and Mike Tindall are set to “decline a summer holiday with King Charles”, according to royal sources.
The mother-of-three is understood to have applied to compete at the Wellington International Horse Trials.
Which take place at the same time as the Royal Family’s annual meeting at Balmoral.
Like most members of the Royal Family, Mike and Zara have been invited to join King Charles at Balmoral this summer.
However, their attendance is in doubt after the King’s niece could be competing in the Wellington International Horse Trials.
A source claimed that Zara applied to compete at the event, taking place between August 24 and August 26 in Hampshire.
The Royal Family are planning their annual holiday at Balmoral in Scotland on the same bank holiday weekend.
The source added that King Charles would love Mike, Zara and their three children to join the family in Aberdeenshire.
They told The Express: “Charles really wants Zara and the family to join him on the last Sunday in August for the bank holiday service, but understands that her horse competitions are extremely important to her.
“Charles is hoping that they [the Tindalls] will be able to come up the week earlier to muck in with the rest of the family so that everyone can enjoy the picnics and walks planned on the estate.
“Mia, Lena and Lucas get on amazingly well with George, Charlotte and Louis.
“There will be lots of children there this year so they are planning a mixture of adult and junior events to keep everyone entertained.”
Zara and Mike Tindall have always been dedicated to their respective passions, with Zara’s commitment to equestrian sports being well-known. The news that she has applied to compete at the Wellington International Horse Trials comes as no surprise to those familiar with her love for horse riding. The event, scheduled to take place from August 24 to August 26 in Hampshire, is a significant one for Zara and her career in the sport. The timing of the horse trials, however, presents a dilemma for the Tindalls, as it clashes with the Royal Family’s annual gathering at Balmoral. King Charles has extended an invitation to Zara, Mike, and their three children to join the family in Aberdeenshire for the bank holiday weekend. It is clear that the King values family time and would love for the Tindalls to be a part of the festivities.Despite the King’s wishes, Zara’s dedication to her sport may take precedence this summer. Equestrian competitions are a key part of her life, and she may choose to prioritize her commitment to the Wellington International Horse Trials. The decision to decline the invitation to Balmoral, if indeed made, would not be taken lightly. The relationship between the Tindalls and the rest of the Royal Family is a close one, with the children enjoying spending time with their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The prospect of missing out on the family gathering at Balmoral is surely a difficult one for the Tindalls, but their decision will ultimately come down to balancing their personal and professional commitments. As fans of the Royal Family eagerly await news of the Tindalls’ summer plans, one thing is certain – whatever decision they make will be in the best interest of their family and their individual pursuits.
