Jane Moore Blasts Meghan Markle’s BBC Interview Critique: ‘Mishal Hussain Wasn’t Sycophantic Enough’ – Loose Women Star’s Three-Word Verdict Exposes Duchess’s True Intentions

Meghan Markle had claimed that her 2018 engagement interview with Prince Harry was like an “orchestrated reality show”.

Loose Women’s Jane Moore has weighed in on BBC presenter Mishal Hussain’s recent comments about her sit-down chat with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The BBC presenter, 51, interviewed the Sussexes in May 2018 about their engagement.

The former Suits actress later claimed in the 2022 Netflix docuseries *Harry & Meghan* that the interview had been heavily staged.

In Saga Magazine’s August issue, Mishal, whose career started in 1998 with BBC World News, expressed surprise at Meghan’s comments and said she “didn’t know what to make of” the duchess’s remarks.

“What I remember about that day was two people who were excited about their engagement and in love,” she said.

“They seemed to have thought through what their new lives would be like and what marriage would mean for her life in particular. There was nothing that pointed to what would happen.

“It was two people who were full of joy in each other and life.”

Reacting to Mishal’s latest interview, Jane addressed the controversy in her latest column, where she referenced claims Meghan wanted Oprah Winfrey to conduct the interview.

The US presenter would interview the Sussexes in a tell-all chat three years later.

Writing in her column for The Sun, Jane wrote: “To add insult to injury, Meghan reportedly wanted Sussex cheerleader Oprah Winfrey to conduct the interview and remarked that Mishal ‘wasn’t empathetic enough, wasn’t warm enough’.”

She concluded: “Which we all know actually means, ‘wasn’t sycophantic enough’.

During Harry & Meghan, Markle claimed her interview with Mishal had been “rehearsed”.

When asked if they were told the questions beforehand, she said: “Yeah. But then also like ‘and then there’ll be a moment when they’ll ask to see the ring.’

She continued: “My point is we weren’t allowed to tell our story because they didn’t want [it].”

Harry added: “We’ve never been allowed to tell our story… that’s the consistency.”

In a recent development, former Loose Women panelist Carol McGiffin shared her thoughts on the ongoing controversy surrounding Meghan Markle’s 2018 engagement interview with Prince Harry. Speaking on her podcast, McGiffin expressed skepticism about the claims made by the Duchess of Sussex regarding the interview being “orchestrated” and “heavily staged.” McGiffin, who is known for her candid opinions, questioned the motives behind Meghan’s accusations, suggesting that it may be a ploy to distract from other issues surrounding the royal couple.McGiffin went on to discuss the role of the media in shaping public perception of the royal family, highlighting the challenges faced by Meghan and Harry in navigating the intense scrutiny of the press. She emphasized the need for empathy and understanding towards the couple, acknowledging the complexities of their position as public figures. As the debate continues to unfold, it is important to consider the multiple perspectives at play and to approach the topic with nuance and sensitivity. The royal family’s relationship with the media remains a contentious issue, with ongoing discussions about privacy, transparency, and accountability.
